Classical Art Meets Graffiti

This is a contest at Worth 1000... Mashups of classical art and graffiti. More comical than artistic really, but still, 4 pages of this made for an interesting couple of minutes of viewing.

I think my old 19th century art history teacher's head just exploded somewhere though!

    • I love the concept of this project and even though the graffiti and the paintings share generation gaps, they have been placed so as to fit the painting in a way that is legible and realistic. My favorite is the second one, with the girl sitting down.

    • Cult of the urban cave painting.

---ultimately it is all just the projection of what is in the mind upon SOME surface,....since the caves,....and so a 'historical' mix can and DOES flow together if one has a mind to do it.
