McDonalds wants to sell your kids hamburgers and sex

I think this was, and should be viewed as, an attempt from McD's to make their image a bit more modern and 'cool', not necessarily sexy (it's been mentioned several times, but this is in no way a new commercial though). If you look at any Japanese pop singer's music videos they're very similar to the feel of this- except this one uses the clown theme as well as the general 'modern fashion magazine' imagery. It's not about sex or even the burger, it's about the McD's image being 'old'. I mean really, who gets into clowns these days at ANY age? I personally liked this attempt even if it showed a bit too much skin at one point, and I'm very much a conservative guy.

if McD's did more ads like this I might actually try eating there.

Japan has a documented historygoing back thousands of years. They have a very diverse sexual drive. That will not be playing in the US ever. Now a late night spot on cable would be great. I know she made me think about eating.

Having lived in Japan, I agree that this commercial is not marketed to children. McDonalds (or "mac-dou") is a very popular teenage/college-age hangout, esp. with the more 'alternative' crowd. So, it doesn't surprise me at all to have it marketed this way. Maybe they're cashing in on the McD porno filming incident!

What? This is a Japanese commercial targeted to women. There is usually a stigma about eating fast food there because a lot of women strive to be very thin.

I liked the commercial. Only thing my son cared about were the toys in happy meals. Now that should stop, but advertising a hot chick with a burger doesn't seem too harmful. Anyone watching t.v. has to expect some of that so if it offends someone, that someone shouldn't be watching t.v.

This looks geared to teenagers and adults and they already know all there is. And what about Pepsi with that spears chick and her panties always showing, are they not selling sex, and just about every other advertiser out there.
