Yo Keith,....no "real" resources were used! The royalties the "Stones" financial arm gains are just transferred from the also equally arbitrary and nebulous NBC financial hub. Dig it,...no rain forests were burned,....no wheat bushels left to rot,...scant energy expended. Who the HELL CARES what financial group is "holding" dollars. Oh,...and for the most part ,....that REALLY IS what they are doing. None of the above are going to send real ships with real food to real people in Haiti. F- their accountants.

Money that likely would not have went to the survivors in Haiti and instead to lining the pockets of some NBC corporate executive. While I agree that money could have been used for more charitable means, it is highly likely it would not have been used for that.

Wasting the money on expensive cars instead of allowing some greedy businessman to throw it in a safe is something I find humorous even in this economic climate. Sure, it's not donating to charity or throwing it out to the masses, but it IS sticking it to the corporate suits at NBC after all the grief they've caused him. So while you say "fuck him", I respectfully disagree.

You guys can slice and dice this one up anyway that you want to, but the bottom line is that Conan had a visible choice to do anything that he wanted to with the cash. He could have given it to a charity and had it written off on NBC's business deductions, but his wounded ego and pride allowed him to fuck it off on a car and one minute of air time. There's no justifying that. Then he wants to garner support for losing his night spot for a TV Show ? He has an ax to grind. At what point is the joke over ? He knows that LENO has a car collection, and part of this is suppose to be a thumb in his eye. Super Bowl sponsors and presidential candidates don't even spend this much on 1 minute slots.

I'm sure the combined donations of Conan's audience has easily surpassed 1.5 million.
