T-Shirt: What Part of FORGIVE Don't You Assholes Understand?

It strikes me that many who claim to have a moral monopoly on Christianity go on to do and say some of the least Christian things imaginable.

Like that guy who decided that killing Dr Tiller was morally righteous. Or the pompous assholes who think that being Gay is a sin. Or that South Carolinian Governor who compared poor people to stray dogs.

Jesus taught to love and forgive.
Jesus did NOT teach people that being an Asshole was the right thing to do.

      Not to mention that night he was on his knees in the park washing mens' feet with his skirt hitched up around his waist.

      And he DID kiss Judas before hanging out with Thaddeus.

      "This Loaf in your face, Eat it, it's really Fish! It turns into MY FLESH when you put it in your mouth."

      "My soul-mate is a prostitute named Mary, just like Mum!"

      "My helium heels allow me to walk on water!"

      "It isn't that which goes into a man that makes him unclean, it's what comes out of him!"

      --Anyone who thinks Jesus wasn't gay, has never known a gay man.

      I made this shirt. I'm a Christian. Jesus teaches us to love and forgive, not to hate and judge.

      Judge not, lest ye be judged.

      HYPOCRITES!- -Remove first the log from your own eye before cleaning the mote from the eye of your neighbor.

      The highest law is to love God with all your soul, and all your mind, and the second law is like it-- love your neighbor as you love God.

      Although Current is indeed a liberal site, that doesn't mean religious people have to go elsewhere to comment on the spaghetti-shooting weirdo you have envisioned as a God. Last time I checked freedom of religion is still a right in America, so have some sensitivity on people's beliefs rather than belittling them.

      It is true that people do belittle those that believe in different things. But saying what I think of such a belief is not belittling. If you think it is explain it to me so that I may understand and therefore analyze it and decode it and then decide if it's true.

      I get what you mean. I know the conflict of beliefs has caused many wars, whether it be something simple as a verbal confrontation to war which has brought us to the present date. I suppose it's because of the unnecessary adjectives you used to explain one's God.

    • Where did Jesus swear? You are right that people do the worse things and claim to be part of the best of humanity. That goes for anyone, but you are right about specifically certain "Christians".
