Christian TV presenter reads Star Wars plot as salvation story

sophosthegreat
An email prankster has tricked the host of a Christian TV show into reading stories from the Fresh Prince of Bel Air and Star Wars out on air as personal stories of salvation.

The unsuspecting host of Genesis TV read out most of the opening rap to The Fresh Prince, a 1990s US sitcom starring Will Smith, apparently unaware that it was not a genuine testimony of faith.

He then went on to read out a Star Wars themed email which began: "My inspiration in life is a man I met in Nigeria called Ben Kenobi. He taught be so much about the Force that spirituality has; it can be used for good and it can be used for bad."
