SPANX for Men. Hot Diggity Dog, Keep the Laziness Coming!

So the whole "Hide the fact that you're fat, and not work out at all" trend has reached new heights. Men can do it too! Yessir!

This has probably been going on longer than I knew, but today I saw a wonderful infomercial for a male slimming undershirt. I googled this thing because I felt like giggling again, and around 3,000 results surfaced. Most of them were not the product I saw advertised...which is scary to me??

Here is my beef. We keep developing products that just make us lazier. Do the actual work. If you want to slim down...work out...possibly? Eat better? Hell, I don't know!

Just don't get upset when you have to buy a larger 'suck it in and slim it up' shirt.

    • If the goal of this shirt is to make you more attractive to women, eventually you're going to have to take your shirt off - then what haha.

    • You should know, this is not just for fat, lazy men.

When I was in puberty I grew a lot and gained a lot of weight, resulting in tears in the dermis of my skin--leaving me with striae, or "stretch marks," really long scars that look like a bear clawed up my midsection.

Now, I am in the process of losing weight. I will have loose skin when I lose it all. The dermis is flexible and will snap back some, but I think the striae will also affect this as well and I will probably have to live with loose skin. I have accepted this, but it sags, gets in the way, prevents clothes from fitting right and is very embarrassing. For those who cannot afford the extremely expensive plastic surgeries (like tummy tucks, dermabrasion and laser surgery--thousands of dollars, hundreds just for a single session) and want a trim body, clothing technology such as this is very practical for keeping the excess skin under control.

Also to consider is how this may actually help the skin "snap back" over time, due to how it prevents gravity from pulling the skin. I don't know if it actually would help, but it's worth considering.

True, and I have the same stretch marks you do, but this isn't marketed towards men with flabby skin, it's marketed towards men who think they need to lose weight, but don't actually want to work to lose it.

I'm guilty of this as well, I have a tummy suck thing for whenever I wear a dress, otherwise it looks like I'm three months pregnant. I could do crunches, but I hate them, so I don't.

      :D
