Adam Boulton blows his top at Alastair Campbell [video]

After they were forced to sit impotently and wait for snippets of news emerging from coalition deals going on behind closed doors, the nation's impatient media finally got some stories to sink their teeth into last night.

Not only did Gordon Brown announce he'd be resigning as Labour leader, throwing Lib Dem coalition talks with the Tories wide open, but Sky News's Adam Boulton had a quick squabble with Alastair Campbell.

"Don't keep saying what I think!" Boulton shouted, jabbing his finger and turning bright red. "Don't keep saying what I think! I'm fed up with you telling me what I think! I don't think that!"

"Calm down, calm down," teased Campbell. "This is live on television."

"Don't tell me what I think!" yelled Boulton.

Finally, the newspapers had some *real* news.

    • Looks like the correspondents have been fighting it out too, this is Jon Sopel and Laura Kuenssberg having a slap fight over who gets to report outside number 10. (okay so my bbc player got stuck at an odd image)

    • At least the journalists in America who are in Murdoch's pocket don't act like they're not just mouthpieces of the right wing...honestly, does he think anyone thinks that he is objective.

    • Not sure if anyone else was watching the results as they came through the morning after the election but Alastair Campbell and Adam Boulton had a bit of an argument on screen then as well. I'm beginning to think they don't get on. For the record, i though Campbell won that duel too.

    • Do you think being a paid up member of the Conservative party is a prerequisite of working for SKY news? This isn't journalism. Might as well change the station name to FOX News and be done with it.
