Now you can play with your Chlamydia!

They're very cute but I don't think I would want little sister running around playing with E Coli or Flesh Eating Microbe.
This just makes me think, "Who thought of this?!?!"
Who knows, maybe sexually transmitted diseases are cute.

How is this news? I can see Entertainment, WTF, and *maybe* Tech. The only tag this definitively falls under is Art and Style. This is less of news, and more of advertisement :/

I remember seeing these things a few years back. They are damn cute though. Perhaps they could be best suited as a physican's aid though.
They would be great to send to an ex on Valentines day.

Brilliant marketing ploy. Dumb consumers will buy anything quirky or unusual to show off to other dumb friends and strike up another 3 minutes of conversation.
If I ever invent or market something I will name it 'Fat Ass' that way any idiot will buy it just so they can show it off and say "Hey look at my new Fat Ass!" - 2 years ago

These are awesome. But of course mono would be purple with long curly eyelashes... And the flesh eating bacteria has utensils. LOL
I want a leukocyte! Okay, okay... he'll need a RBC to have for company!
The neuron is so cute. 'Would make me want to go into a medical field when I grow up.....oh, wait I am ....Check them out. There are a whole lot of different ones. I love them. - 2 years ago

I'm sorry, but these ARE cute. We bought my son the brain cell (he named it Brian) and it made him wonder what a brain cell was.
These are sold in educational and home school stores. It's easier to teach children about boring things like germs and the importance of personal hygiene when they have something they can touch and hold. They look surprisingly like the germ they represent; its easy to convey to children what these things are and what they do.
It's nearly impossible, I'm sure, to get a hold of E. Coli or Mono for a child to look at under a microscope.
This is a good idea.
The people who are saying, "this is bad because these things cause people harm in 'real life'...blah blah blah..." are unfounded and seem to be complaining just to have something to complain about.

I have a ton, yeah. If I remember correctly, E.coli, swine flu, malaria, gangrene, mange, bubonic plague, yogurt, and brain cell. There's a bunch more.
I am such a nerd....lol.
