Well none of those are Disney characters anyway, Disney has just done their own versions of them. Secondly I'm not sure that mainstream comic-book style images are any sexier than the Disney versions- gawd I can't stand that gradient style colouring >_

Not yet by a LONG shot since how many Miss USA have you heard of? How long will they be remembered? The title itself might endure but the holders of it are fleeting.
OTOH how many disney princesses are there? A lot smaller number that are timeless icons since the myths and legends about them have lived on through the centuries.
That is what Miss USA aspires to become with a legacy of Beauty, hopefully being 2nd place to Miss America which is a lot more famous they try harder.
