Knitted breasts now available on NHS

Yep, the Somerset Mothers’ Union are knitting woolly breasts for the NHS. The group thought at first they were meant to knit 150 woolly vests, but nope the NHS requested the fake breasts. They're for helping new mothers learn about breast feeding. So, I'm afraid if you want one you're going to have to be a new mother or learn how to knit (article mentions patterns are online).

    • 'Have picnicked for years with a guy that has a ceramic beer mug in the shape of a breast.... you access the liquid by putting your mouth on the nipple!
      No one ever drinks out of his mug by mistake and he never misplaces it...everyone knows exactly where it is!

      This beats the cost of buying a medically professional prosthesis for training.... but some may have allergy issues and others aren't into the use of animal products as for human use in anyway. ...
      I found this out when I wanted to put hemp/wool reusable French shopping totes, I had knitted, in a vegan gourmet restaurant's gift shop under consignment!
      A cute idea to promote the way nature intended human babies to get the sustainence they need.
