He suffered from a congenital kidney disease. The disease caused sclerosis to his kidneys and the resulting short stature. He had 2 kidney replacements and needed dialysis daily.
He was adopted as a child by a nurse practitioner and her husband and thus was able to live a quality of life others with this disease(3-4 decades ago) would not even had knowledge of let alone how to care for the child with this problem. Thanks to that he was able to get the care and treatment he did with the skill and tenacity of his mother's professional backround. - 1 year ago

Todd Bridges, as usual threw Gary Coleman under the bus to promote his new book of garbage, " Killing Willis". People never got tired of using Gary for personal gain.
