“Behind the Green Room Door” is a brilliant idea that is often well executed. However, there are times when you wonder what the heck were they thinking?
The show’s concept mirrors an old ESPN show where sportswriters sat around and talked sports or, perhaps more appropriately, Jon Favreau’s old “Dinner For Five.” Here it’s comics given free rein.
It’s the brainchild of host Paul Provenza, a talented comedian who also directed “The Aristocrats” to hilarious effect. He is very funny and keeps the conversation moving. Between his efforts and very tight editing, there are no dead spots in any of the six episodes.
