While I agree with the idea that adding Jedi can fix anything, they missed the part that needed to be fixed by a wide mark.
The fight was fine the way it was, what needed to be fixed was after that when Jack went back into the well to put the cork back in. There wasn't enough connection between the people on the island and the FST
Desmond should've used the force to send Jack to the Flash Sideways Timeline and had that knife wound taken care of in a hospital.
Then Desmond appears to the others on the island like Obi-Wan did to Luke and give them visions of how it worked out better in the FST so they knew all that effort they went through setting off the bomb wasn't a waste.

It went by too fast the first time so I paused it, and read the whole thing.
That part about the Chronoplasmids only gives some background about the Source and how it got to be on the island.
It doesn't fix that fatal flaw of the connection between the those that went to all the trouble of setting off the bomb on the island and the FST.
Why would they have only Desmond know what happened in both places if the one on the island didn't do anything about it?
That was the part the Jedi had to fix was to show everyone else that there was a reason for all the stuff they went through and Desmond was the key to sharing it.
