    • I don't know if they are "becoming more and more like us", or if we are only now beginning to notice how much like us they have always been.

      Perhaps a bit of both.

      Anyway, they will not evolve to become our overlords, since we are evolving also.

    • I can imagine chimps being a threat... in about 5,000 - 10,000 years from now, maybe.

      However, watching the one video down there, they have some pretty good tactics down for catching prey; if they change the tactics up a bit, they could make it effective against humans. They also definitely seem physically superior to the average human, which would be a major problem with hand-to-hand combat (unless the human had some martial arts experience).

      Thankfully, we're much too technologically advanced to even think about a chimp threat - wait...
