Vote for the new face of BP

Greenpeace UK organized some serious brand damage to BP with its "Rebrand BP" logo competition and now they want us to vote on the most powerful redesign of the Big Polluter's logo. The winners will be used in Greenpeace's ongoing efforts to hold BP and the rest of Big Oil accountable for the destruction they've wrought on the Gulf and the planet.

The categories are Best Rebranded Logo, Best Illustration, Best Wildlife, Best Slogan, and (my personal fav) WTF?!.

- In that logo, the crack in the world is coming from Cthulhu's city of R'lyeh.
  I know BP did a lot of damage to this planet, but I didn't know they woke up Cthulhu!

  No words... can do justice to the impact of this design. BP CEO Tony Hayward's phrase, "I would like my life back," juxtaposed with the oiled bird is utterly unforgettable. No wonder it's currently #1.

  I agree this is a very sad picture. It never ceases to amaze me how angered we become when we see a helpless animal dead or dying. At the same time lets not forget 11 people died as well when the oil rig caught fire leaving behind a total of 21 kids that no longer have fathers. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if the clean up workers end up with physical ailments that kill or disable them in the future. It has been reported that BP instructed them to not wear masks while cleaning up. Remember the 911 clean up crews? The workers sued New York City and more than 100 private contractors who did work for the city during the nine month cleanup in 2001 and 2002, claiming that they were recklessly exposed to dangerous chemicals by a city overly eager to get things back to normal.
