    • I don't think it's really funny at all. The media and government jumped on this like flies to a pile of crap, and they pushed this a lot more than previous automotive engineering disasters that came from the automotive industries of the United States. I still think that a lot of the reasoning behind pushing the story so hard was that Toyota was leading the way in competition with the Big Three, and this smear campaign was a way to slow them down.
