We Call Bullshit!...Black Members of Tea Party Dispute Racist Claims

The members gathered at a Washington news conference in the wake of allegations about its rank and file, heightened by the recent split with a Tea Party Express leader who had posted a letter on his blog written from “Colored People” to Abraham Lincoln. The post suggested that black people would choose slavery over having to do real work.
The black members said the racism that has been attributed to the tea party movement came from outsiders who infiltrated the groups to discredit their work and it should be rejected.
“These people do not oppose Barack Obama because of his skin color. They oppose him because of his policies,” said Lloyd Marcus, a spokesman for the group.
The NAACP last month approved a resolution condemning racism within the tea party movement and called on activists to “repudiate the racist element and activities” within the political movement.
At the news conference, several members assailed Obama and the Democrats, often in harsh terms.
“Democrats have re-enslaved America,” said Kevin Jackson, president of the Black Conservative Coalition. He said tea party activists, if successful, would reduce the size of government and set in motion another Emancipation Proclamation, the document that President Abraham Lincoln signed that effectively ended slavery.
“This time, even the white folks get freed,” said Jackson, who accused Obama of viewing fellow blacks as “mongrels.”
Democratic National Committee spokesman Hari Sevugan declined to respond to the tea party leaders’ criticism. The White House also declined to comment.http://biggovernment.com/publius/2010/08/04/ap-black-members-of-tea-party-disput...

Tea Bagger's LIES aren't worthy of a response. Even the best and brightest minds, black or white, can be fooled by International Corporate and Special Interest manipulation. They firmly believe that if you tell a LIE often enough someone will believe it. Sooner or later people see through their LIES. Let's just hope it isn't too late.

We have seen that "Trickle Down Economics" DOES NOT WORK... TWICE now. There is NO TRICKLE in Repugnant "Trickle Down Economics. That is the first Repugnant and Tea Bagger LIE that needs be stopped.
The second Repugnant and Tea Bagger LIE that needs be stopped is the one where they say it is the President's Administration who created the 13 Trillion Dollar Debt. It was the last Repugnant administration that created it, and Repugs and TBs are projecting their own misdeeds onto their opponents. Actually the TBs are just misguided dupes of International Corporate and Special Interests vying for control of OUR Government. Repugnants are bought and paid for by International Corporate and Special Interests.
It is the 59% of OUR nation's budget dedicated to violence, aggression, and military might that protects International Corporate and Special Interest's wealth and power that has put US Citizens in dept, while the "General Welfare" promised by OUR Constitution is neglected and maligned. It is the flow of "Petro Dollars" to Foreign Entities like BP and the Arab Emirates that do not have OUR best interests at heart, and the Foreign Financing (CHINA!?) that pays for OUR addiction to OIL that has created US Citizen's debt. These Foreign Entities are intent upon stealing democracy and the wealth of the nation from US Citizens. Why would anyone with a modicum of intelligence buy into Repugnant and Tea Bagger LIES?
There are so many opportunities for OUR country and US Citizens to prosper, if we STOP LISTENING to International Corporate and Special Interest LIES!
Claims that global climate change is not man made, when man quite clearly started the ball rolling, are LIES that Repugs, TBs, and International Corporate Interests tell themselves so that they feel better about keeping the self-destructive status quo in control of world governments, and the world economy. They are the ones that claim OUR addiction to fossil fuels is good and essential for OUR survival, when in reality it is THEIR wealth, power, and survival they are attempting to guarantee at OUR expense.
Alternatives to the centralized control of energy resources are available now. Alternatives that serve ALL US Citizens, not just the few. These Alternatives offer every US Citizen a new opportunity to prosper, and protects Earth's environment while providing that opportunity for prosperity. Alternatives to the centralized control of world governments by International Corporate and Special Interests exists now. Do not let democracy be destroyed by the LIES that Hate, Fear, and Greed tell!

--Snip--Black members of the tea party movement on Wednesday rejected charges that the group’s activists are racist, saying they oppose President Barack Obama because of his policies not his skin color.--Snip--
So, you don't/didn't vote for Obama, you're a racist. Does that automatically imply that if you do/did vote for Obama, you did only because he's black?

As the cliche goes, "where there is smoke, there is fire"..Every other day, the Tea Party is denying allegations of racists or bigoted statements made by one of it's members..The Democratic Party is entirely too diverse, for old KKK members, so their only option is the Tea Party...They are more than willing to hide their hoods and sheets...Some Blacks are in denial, about the racism openly demonstrated in the Tea Party, and will say or do anything to feel important..

You must not understand human nature very well paratus. It is man's nature to learn, grow, and mature from the lower base self, which you represent, to a higher more advanced state of thinking and being. Most people I know let go of their paranoia, fear, and greed when they are able to achieve a higher state of being. They begin to become aware that all of their striving for status and power through the approval of their peers produces nothing but an illusion. If they are smart they accept this new reality, instead of letting the old reality continually whack them upside the head. But hey, whatever floats your boat.
You and your stuck in one place friends, the Repugs and TBers will regret any successes you achieve. You had better hope that Progressives like those of US here who oppose you win in November, so that your sorry ass can be saved from the International Corporate Interests that are manipulating you Dupe, or maybe you are the Duper? Either way, the outcome is the same... you loose, if you stay with the status quo. Change is the only constant dude.

Just what the doctor ordered. President Barck Obama is pushing the pedal to the medal.
Obama to unveil more stimulus, tax breaks for business
President Obama plans Wednesday to officially unveil more than $180 billion in fresh spending and business tax breaks aimed at boosting both the nation's economic recovery and the political prospects of congressional Democrats facing the wrath of recession-weary voters in November. But it's not clear whether the provisions - which White House spokesman Robert Gibbs insisted Tuesday do not amount to another "stimulus" package - can accomplish either goal.
Economists, business groups and tax lobbyists said they are not enthusiastic about the job-creating potential of expanding an existing tax credit for domestic research and permitting firms to write off 100 percent of spending on new plants and equipment in 2011."I think they're helpful on the margin to the recovery. But they're not a game-changer," said Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody's Analytics and a key architect of Obama's first stimulus package. Coupled with Obama's plan to boost spending on transportation, Zandi said, the tax breaks "a year from now might create tens of thousands of jobs" - a drop in the bucket compared with the 7.6 million jobs lost during the recession that began in December 2007.
Politically, the provisions could be equally ineffective, some Democrats said. Because the details are sketchy, vulnerable Democrats may find it difficult to campaign on them. Meanwhile, some Democrats questioned whether voters would be able to distinguish between the new proposals - which the White House vows will not increase the nation's soaring budget deficit - and last year's $814 billion stimulus package, which voters tend to think increased deficits without improving the economy.
"It depends on how it's spun," said Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell (D), whose state is a critical bellwether in this election cycle with a governor's race, a high-profile Senate race and a dozen competitive House races that will help determine whether Democrats retain control of Congress.
"The president has to attempt to attack this problem and attack it now," Rendell said. "Is this a little too sophisticated for the voters to get? I'm not sure. But it's better than nothing."
BELIEVE.

I had heard $50 billion but perhaps that is the size of the total stimulus package of which 18 billion goes to infrastructure. In my view, his administration was so concerned about Republican criticism of the initial stimulus package that obtaining the funding was so complex and time-consuming that nearly all of the money tended to go to companies with platoons of people who could be thrown at the application and follow-up process. Large companies have the potential to hire more workers, but they also tend to be efficient despite their ability to enjoy reduced costs per unit due to the scale of their output. I would have liked to have seen a process that targeted very small, small and mid-sized companies.

How terribly sad that a black man could stand up and say that Democrats have re-enslaved America. People need to stop assuming that they always know what's best for people from other cultures and ethnic backgrounds outside of their own. I would never try to tell a Hispanic, an Asian or an Arab which party is right for them or how should about what a political party has done for them. They have the ability to think for themselves. The Democratic party has always assume that they had the Black vote without earning it. It a lot of ways it has created a lethargic attitude in the minds of many.
Business as usual doesn't work anymore. It does not attract free thinking people. At the very least, the Tea party will make the Democratic party get off of the asses and really start working on a change that is felt in the lives of oppressed people, because this shit that they've got us smoking now ain't about nothing. Nice try, John. Nowhere in my post do I assert that I am speaking for anyone but myself. I would no more expect all black people to have the same opinion on an issue than I would expect all white people to have the same opinion.
I am expressing MY opinion that it is particularly poignant for a black person to use the rhetoric of slavery in such a cavalier and off-hand manner merely for the purposes of cheap political gain. My opinion would be the same if a Jewish person of one party cavalierly and inaccurately described the positions of another party to be a reinstatement of the Holocaust.
Slavery in this country resulted in the premature deaths and incalculable suffering of millions of black people. To minimize the tragedy by pretending that Democrats have reinstated that horrifying practice is to mock the suffering and sacrifice of the people who really did suffer from it. The speaker is, much like yourself, John, a man of weak character and a small mind. Though admittedly you are both light years ahead of Congoboy and his maniacal spam machine.

The entire Republican Party's agenda for the past couple of decades has been wholly targeted entirely in the direction their White Christian Fundamentalist NeoConservative base
best embodied in this new decade by the so-called quote-en-quote "Tea Party"Washington Power-Politics is a Zero-Sum game
Every policy legislation the Democratic Majority has put forward throughout the last decade, which the Conservative Republican Caucus said was too expensive and unaffordable, was intended to be geared especially toward most helping racial and ethnic minority demographic populations, whilst leaving the wealthiest percentages among our nation alone entirely
Every policy the Republican Party has put forth in the past two decades has been targeted directly toward the better interests of their own White Christian Conservative base, the CEO's of super-massive trans-multinational Corporate Conglomerations and meanwhile at the same time funneling much-needed financial and material rescources away from less-well-off minority populations
So,
any member of a racial and/or ethnic minority (including women) who pledges their devotion to the Right-Wing NeoConservative fundamentalist base of the Republicans, or the the so-called "Tea-Party", is actually subscribing and signing on to a malicious and malevolent legislative agenda that is, very nearly wholly in its entirety, devoted to suppressing and repressing minority demographics in favor of the interests of the wealthiest White Conservative Minority of all Americans among us. - 1 year ago

The Tea Party, like so many other groups, is simply another tribe for human beings to join and belong to - regardless of the color of their skin, their religion, their economic status or age. What one must question is why so many focus on tribal membership and "solidarity" rather than essential principles they mutually agree are rational and reasonable for human life wherever it may be found.
I saw an interview with actor Morgan Freeman just yesterday where he says that race will no longer matter when people stop talking about it. One has to ask, do the so-called "black" members of the Tea Party wish to be known as black members or simply as individuals who agree to a certain set of values? Do the "white" members wish to be known as "white members"? But let's take a step further back: do Tea Party members wish to be known as Tea-Party members primarily, or would they rather be judged by the values they hold because they are genuinely good values? Would they rather by judged by the principles they live by and defend or by their tribal memberships?
Agreed, these things need not be exclusive to one another, but it illustrates a phenomenon I've long found disturbing - the human penchant for attachment to membership primarily rather than to well-thought principles.
Is one a "patriot" because one waves the flag, says the pledge, stands for the national anthem, votes, serves in the military or works hard and pays one's taxes OR is one a patriot because one stands for the same essential principles as those who forced a revolution and founded the nation?
If I, in fact, burn the flag, refuse to say the pledge, do not stand for the anthem, do not vote, provide no military service, do not work or pay taxes BUT I genuine believe in and consistently defend and preserve the same respect for individual rights and liberties as many of the founding Americans, am I not also a patriot? Do I not agree with their values and speak and act in accordance with them if I live peacefully and without interfering or allowing interference in the lives of others?
Is patriotism holding the same essential values as early patriots, or is it tribal membership and obedience? What of "patriotism" is essential and what is mere packaging?
Is the Tea Party a clear set of values or is it a tribe? Which is of primary importance? Which is mere window dressing?

It depends on who you're asking.
If you're asking me, I'd say you already know the answer, but rhetoricals are a nice way to make a point (if it doesn't fly over one's head). - 1 year ago

You left/right paradigm, race-baiting, muck-raking propaganda spewing fools are only diggin your own grave.
Oh and Derk, Staff, we know you're on Al Gore and George Soros' payroll to spread divide and conquer drivel, promote carbon taxes and eugenics, but do you really have to blatantly advertise on the comment section with your propaganda websites?
You already have Unimatrix calling everyone and their mother a racist and the rest using ad hominem attacks trying to discredit 9/11 Truth and the New World Order conspiracies as crazy. We're truly in an information war. You call people names; I do research.
People of all races must unite against the NWO to save ourselves and our children from the future they plan to impose. Those who promote more division are either low level stooges like Derk or useful idiots like Unimatrix.
Just for kicks, here's a great clip of Rev. Manning, pastor of the ATLAH World Missionary Church in New York and a vocal critic of the Obama administration. Pastor Manning (an African-American) goes into the how, Obama is illegitimate to be president and should be impeached, and tried for treason under the laws of this land. Great stuff!

And this Boy from the right considers everyone on the left to be an ignoramus. Is it somehow, magically not prejudiced because race isn't (overtly) involved?

Same tired old Repugnant Tea Bagger projection of themselves onto everyone else. You are no better than the far left that you call Ignoramuses. It seems to me that extremes of any party or religious group are pretty much what they accuse their rivals of being, and are unworthy of consideration by anyone with a modicum of intelligence. That includes rodstradamus and you congoboy.

If someone can say that Tea Baggers as a rule aren't racist, then I can say that bears do not shit in the woods, and people will believe it. Trouble is, I don't believe either statement. A huge chunk of Tea Baggers are racists, and bears do shit in the woods.

Electrifying human being who also was targeted by the FBI and eventually assassinated by a shadow government that did away with, JFK, MLK, and RFK. The Muslims that allegedly murdered him were all in prison up until 6 months before his murdering took place. Who let them out of prison ? Malcolm was neither a Democrat or a Republican.
