Garlic has long had a reputation as an aphrodisiac. Some cultures forbade entering sacred places after eating it and the Greeks and Egyptians embraced it's aphrodisiac qualities of promoting love and arousing desire. So garlic absolutely fits with erotic writng. Matter of fact eating a few cloves and then brainstorming might produce some truly hot literature. ;-) BTW, good luck with your anthology.
