Odd thing to think about with regard to "Performance boosting nanites"... especially when coming to running races... Anyone else thinking it'll become more like car racing then? Sure today we still have nike sponsoring people and whatnot, but in the future it'll be just as much about the performance of nanites, like car manufacturers... weird thought...

this is kurzweil. he is a futurist. he made many claims like that which turned out to be too optimistic. ultimately, he is right. it ll probably work one day. but more like in 80 to 150 years. the brain is just so very, very complex.

I'm going to go ahead and say No. This won't be possible by 2030. I'm also going to say that's a fact.

The best option would be to have a clone of yourself...dump your brain onto the disk...then dump the disk into the clone....presto....new life.

This is horrible. What we've seen, experienced and learned is only for us, there's a reason for this. It may be completely useless for other people. This sounds like a Truman Show but to the next level, and a bad one. A horrible reality show, because it's real...

HAs anyone else seen the Robbin williams move "cutter"? its from when he was making dark movies to prove that he was more than just a comedian. anyways, the plot of the movie is based around a future society that does this and the conflict/personal space/privacy issues that spring up.
