Dems Won't or Can't Listen? Post Mid-Terms America

Well, Voters certainly sent a message to the Democrats. Will Democrats listen?

I look at the results like this: At least now (with Republicans regaining control of the House) we have an emergency brake in place (for Obama’s oft used car analogy) to prevent any more giant surges of social(ist) engineering like the Health Care bill from becoming law. For all his (Obama’s) talk of Republicans being the party of “No,” they didn’t really stop anything. Now, they can. It might be enough to halt any untoward legislation during the next two “lame duck” months in Congress.

Incidentally, Democrats love to portray the Republican Party as being just a bunch of white guys but two Republican women of color were elected to governorships, Nikki Haley in South Carolina, and Susana Martinez in New Mexico.

Meanwhile, California continues its tradition of self-destruction by electing Brown for Governor and returning Boxer and Waters to office.

    • My concern is the potential damage that we might have to suffer while the lame duck congress is in session. What else will they try to shove down our throats?

    • Did the Dems hear what the people said? Sure. But haven't you noticed that they are talking about how ignorant the people are? The same people who were brilliant for annointing THE ONE are now suddenly ignorant for pulling that "emergency brake"...

      Or, conversely, it's all the fault of the "fear mongering" from those evil conservatives, corporations etc that "run the media", "if they only understood" what a genius Obama is, they'd all still have automaton erections when he spoke, like the enlightened libtards do.

      What they still have not grasped is just how deep the resentment is against this government, and how they are playing with fire.
