      - - -**Disclaimer: Before any redheads lambaste me with nasty emails and comments (with your fiery temper and general evil nature compelling you), it should be noted that my wife is a redhead; and not one of those brown haired ladies that call themselves redheads nor one of those red hair from dye redheads; no, in this case I can affirm that the carpet definitely matches the drapes and those are very red. So kind of like how Jews get to make fun of Jews and make all sorts of offensive Jew jokes, and likewise dentists get to make dentist jokes and Catholics get to make Catholic jokes; by marriage, I get to make redhead jokes.

      What Causes Red Hair
      Today I found out what causes people to have red hair. It turns out, it is not because they are the spawn of Satan or otherwise evil at heart (Well, supposedly. Everyone knows a group of red-heads known as “The Fire of Rankin”, lead by the Septi Caput Capitis counsel, secretly rules the world in Edinburgh, Scotland; coincidentally this is where most of the “Red Head’s Aren’t Evil” research comes from. Wake Up Sheeple!!!).**

      In any event, red heads get their distinctive hair color and inability to survive when sunlight hits their skin from being bitten by a vampire, but not having their blood all sucked dry… Or if you want to believe the Septi Caput Capitis funded Edinburgh researchers, it’s because of a little thing called the “Melancortin 1 Receptor” or MC1R for short. Everyone has Melancortin 1 Receptors, but in red heads this is mutated

    • 2)Watching last night’s episode of ‘Mad Men’, I had to admit that Christina Hendricks, playing Joan Harris, is ‘all woman’.

      It was great looking at this voluptuous, curvacous deeply sensual woman on-screen, on the same day that I received a love note about my own body from a very sexy man, one intimately involved in my own battles with body image.

      Reviewing his comments, I cannot print them. He knows that I have been dieting again, insuring that I look my best size-8 self, hardly making me a skinny girl. I did express to him my desire to perhaps become a size 6, and this is what raised flags in his mind about our future.

      My friend (who can buy and sell us all; I must add that fact) said that when a high libido-guy looks at a woman like Christina Hendricks, he sees her own sensual appetite and lust for him. Her frailty or lack of it impacts his own ardor in lovemaking.

      My friend assured me that my health and wellbeing are his primary concerns, but so is my sexual vitality. Curves like the ones worn by Christina Hendricks say ‘let’s be sexual’ and ‘you don’t need to worry about breaking me.’

      ‘Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks is on the cover of this week’s New York Magazine Spring 2010 fashion edition.

      Hendricks is blessed with an old-fashioned, real-woman hourglass figure, the kind that used to make men swoon and Hollywood directors, too.

      The NYMag editorial makes a couple points important to note, knowing that the embrace doesn’t make me popular.

      Hendricks lives north of the 15 BMI model we worry may drop dead any day now — the one Lauren, Lagerfeld and most male designers today — gay or straight — insist we women all want to be, if we would just get off our robust bottoms and start taking beauty seriously.

      The voluptuous vixen lives way south of Beth Ditto and Gabourey Sidibe, celebrated as living proof that the BMI of 40 beautiful, too.

      Make no mistake, putting Beth Ditto on the cover of LOVE mag in its inaugural edition was an ace move. I’m all for self-love, no matter what size your body.

      Technically speakingthough, at 5’2” and 220 lbs Beth Ditto has a BMI of 40.23, making her morbidly obese. Personally, I want to keep all these fab women around for a long time, so I’m hapy to promote Hendricks and her medically-healthy hourglass figure.

      Even the medical establishment has new research confirming that hips are good for a woman.
