New York snowstorm: New January record set. Must Be Global Warming Again!

It's official: The 19 inches of snow that ended Thursday morning made this the snowiest January in city history.

The record set in 1925 was buried under the 36 inches that blanketed New York this month, with the overnight storm closing city schools and snarling morning commutes.

Mayor Bloomberg, speaking at City Hall, said the latest blast of winter created various problems - including some ambulances and subways stranded by the snow, and higher emergency response times.

      Who said there was no climate change? As for "Global Warming" well, that was last century, and there was no proof it was linked to man's activities. However, if you can find a suitable link to man and CO2, then maybe you can also find an explanation for the falling temperatures currently being witnessed globally. I suspect you'll decide that the warming was caused by man, but the cooling is natural.

    • Strange how JanforGore thinks this is comedy, but then maturity never was her strong point.
      The extremists are trying to convince the more educated amongst us that this winter, with all it's snow and freezing conditions over most of the northern hemisphere (and cooler conditions worldwide) is being caused by "Global Warming". I have a question; how much warmer does it need to get in order to cool the planet to a temperature the extremists will be happy with? if "Global Warming" continues at this pace we're all going to freeze to death!

      "That temperature" - the temperature needed to cause the predicted runaway global warming (or is it cooling) will never be reached. There is no tipping point, except in the minds of the uneducated extremists. Enjoy the climate you have, it's one of the best the world has seen.
