" Life itself is but a stage, the people it's actors. And in yet only
one lifetime of many, must an actor play many parts "
William Shakespeare" Life is eternal, and Love is immortal, because death is only a
horizon. And what is a horizon ? Naught, save the limits of our sight "

Article definitely voted up. This lady is one of the few who could
have carried herself with such a majestic bearing while walking
with Marylyn Monroe in that movie they co starred in. Anyone
who could overshadow M.M. had to one be one hot tamale as
they used to say in the Golden Age of Hollywood. I saw several
of her movies, including the Outlaw. She was a striking woman.
There's one movie she co starred in with 2 well liked leading
men, Robert Ryan, and Clark Gable. It was a 3 star Western
movie shot in the early 1950s. Being a Cinephile, the late 1930s,
1940s,1950s,1960s was the heyday for Western movies shot in
the new Technicolor format & Cinemascope vista. The realy
classic movies filmed then are considered the zenith of all cinema. They were always good morality plays in which life was hard
but the good always triumphed over evil because of their
honesty, sense of fair play, and courage. In one scene in
this movie, Clark Gable tells Jane Russell: " Mmmmmmmm.
Something smells realy good, like clover honey and molasses."
Jane Russell replies, chuckling: " Awww, what you're smelling
isn't anything cooking on the stove. Baby, what you're smelling
is all GGGIIIRRRLLL " as she gives Clark Gable that vixen grin
staring at him intently. That's what immortalized this wonderful
Summertime nativity we knew as Jane Russell. Rest in peace, hon.
And now that you're on the other side, say hello to Clark for me ?As Kate Bekinsale said in her movie Van Helsing: " But they're
NOT dead. They're just a lot harder to see " If you understand
that we're spirits in the material world. And you realize that the
Cinema was invented to immortalize a human's moment in time..
Then you know that since spirits can't die, so long as Hollywood
preserves her movies, Jane has attained a form of immortality.
As you can tell, I was one of her fans too. - 1 year ago

HAH ! "featured" with robust enthusiasm at the "bOObies" grope ! Hooty Hoo Hooters,.....HUZZAH ! ( also added to
"BIGGER is better", and "fake it up" ![ Hughes, who took over direction of the film from Howard Hawks, made it his personal business to make the most of his discovery's assets. He even had his engineers design a special "cantilever" bra with no noticeable seams that would expose more of her breasts than conventional undergarments. Russell said she found his contraption "ridiculous" and wore her own bra.
"He could design planes, but a Mr. Playtex he wasn't," Russell wrote in her 1985 autobiography, "Jane Russell: My Past and My Detours."
On seeing the results of Hughes' efforts in 1941, Joe Breen, who enforced the production code, was appalled, saying he had "never seen anything quite so unacceptable as the shots of the breasts of the character of Rio," which were "shockingly emphasized and, in almost every instance, are very substantially uncovered." ]

Russell cooperated in Hughes' publicity campaign, but drew the line at blatantly revealing pictures.
