Harsh words may seem ignorant and are unpopular. But they have a way of cutting to the chase, especially when they reveal truth. These words are a symptom of frustration. You may not like like to hear them. But they get under the skin and drive the points home.

The issue is bigger (has BEEN bigger) than black and white. The scramble to attain resources in poorer nations is the one of the core issues. Whether you are black, white, or any other background is just an after thought in 2011. The reality is, this corporation called USA is BIGGER than Obama! It doesn't give a fuck about your race, that's just some shit to throw you off once again. Obama is NOT the guy calling all the shots. Do you really think a man who is to be in office for at MOST, 8 years will be allowed to change a machine that has been operating a certain way for centuries?! No "brother" you are mistaken, what this man in this recording is saying barely scratches the surface of the truth. He is taking that bullshit he learned in high school and thinking that is really how this government operates.

Suuure! What idiot thinks that Obama runs a country, a black nation, a black America only. If there is a 'New' Black Panther Party (in which I doubt), they'd have more sense then this fool.
There's been nothing written up in black publications to date about the Black Panthers...why is that? That's where one would normally find info on them back in the day. And they were looking for freedoms for A.A. They weren't as hateful as White Americans thought back then, and now Republicans want to invoke fear again.

Based on all the vitriol against this post, it's safe to assume most, if not all of it, is from right wing nuts, paid operatives, and political sell outs. The video makes a lot of sense, unlike any of the opposition to it.

The evidence I have is that this story was voted up by a lot of people, has over a thousand views, and tens of FaceBook likes. People find it something worthwhile. It's obvious it is anti-corporate and flies in the face of the American corporate oligarchy and so it "is safe to assume" the opposition is as I say. Yes, that's opinion and assumption, but based on reality, truth, and the democracy of public opinion. My opinion is no less worthy than yours.

Voting up a story does not mean agreement - it means the story is interesting. I post stories and vote stories up that I do not agree with, but that I find interesting and deserving comment and attention.

It's amazing that you want to discredit this story and yet you vote it up. It seems it's not that you abhor or disagree with the story, you just want to see controversy.
When you vote for a President do you also not necessarily agree with his stands and just find him interesting and worthy of attention?
If something deserves attention it has merit of some kind. So the issues brought up by this video are important and worthy of attention even by your standards. So really we agree on this. Glad we cleared that up and you can see my way of thinking.

JonRaymond:
The lunatic ranting on the video discredits himself without my help.
Voting a story up on Current is not the same as voting for a presidential candidate. One votes stories up on Current that are worthy of note and comment, whether or not one agrees with the position(s) being taken is secondary.
For example, I would also vote up a story with a terrorist ranting, but that would not mean I agree with the words or positions being taken by the terrorist. And that does not mean I would support that terrorist in a presidential election.
I am surprised and sorry that you are so ignorant on these matters, given your extensive history here at Current. Also it seems to me in the past you were a reasonable, if not cynical, progressive Democrat. I don't remember you being on the crazy train. What happened?
I am surprised you would defend the rantings of this idiot. He shames the good name of the original Black Panthers and is really no more than a clown and a stooge reinforcing racist right wing talking points.

Look, it's not reasonable that Obama relentlessly plays both ends against the middle. He spews rhetoric to the effect that he is genuinely concerned about the people (and he may well be), while at the same time having been elected by Wall Street, giving them what ever they want at every turn, reneging on health care by ignoring both the public option and single payer (in favor of corporate insurance industry profit), expanding the Bush regime war mongering military industrial complex for eternity, and continuing to support the very corporate criminals, even in his own administration, who brought down the American economy in 2008 and even now continue to implement the very same practices with no reprimand whatsoever.
I'm sorry, but as unnerving, distasteful, immature, and moronic as it may sound, in light of these facts, "uncle tom" is more a compliment than a term of hate or ignorance. I completely identify and agree with the man in the video. He makes perfect sense. I feel his frustration and have no qualms to support his harsh words as his last refuge from the political impotence imposed on our country by this new American corporate oligarchy, which is riding the wave of Obama's rhetorical subversion of the american people. You are being taken for a ride by this skilled Chicago politician. Wake up and smell the nuclear waste.

By the way, Obama has said (as did FDR I believe) that if the people want him to act on their behalf and not that of private interests, they must MAKE him do so. Barack "uncle tom" Obama is out there justifying the US military action in Libya, as if everything going on right now as we speak in Afghanistan don't exist. Maybe Libya is justified. Meanwhile 122 Americans die every day for lack of health care. America's schools languish and our children perish as America ranks way down double digits on the world's totem pole in education. Teachers are out there losing jobs. But no one in the military is losing any Jobs. Hell no!
