A Love Story Unlike Any Other

The French magazine "Le magazine des voyages de pêche" (The magazine of fishing trips) in it 56th edition, brought up an amazing news: An astonishing love story.
Arnold Pointer, a professional fisherman from south Australia, released from certain death a big female white shark that was caught in his fishing nets. Now the fisherman has a problem: He says "It's been 2 years and she doesn't leave me alone. She follows me everywhere I go and her presence scares all the fish. I don't know what to do any more."
It is hard to get rid of an almost 17 feet long shark since white sharks are protected by the wildlife conservation, but a mutual affection has established itself between Arnold and "Cindy". Arnold says "Once I stop the boat she comes to me, she turns on her back and lets me pet her belly and neck, she grunts, turns her eyes, and moves her fins up and down hitting the water happily..."
Amazing!
Who could have imagined that sharks have emotions and can show gratitude and affection?

Sorry, but in my world, this is called dinner theatre. The shark will entertain you until it decides to eat you.

also adding this to "Culture". This "story",....is a fine "story".
The TEXT should just LEAD OFF with,...."not true / a fable"
This is "The Lion,...The Mouse,....and The Thorn" revisited ; still a thing with good empathic moral values kids should be told.

Just from "News" though. I think its a fine example of the common desire for "good stuff" to happen. The fact that we WANT it to be TRUE,......is a GOOD thing.
p.s. adding this to "not news"

Yes. Right along with enhanced headlines, and posts presented as "News" that are opinion pieces from blogs that have anonymous authors.
Lately there have been many of these.
Fun is one thing, but intentionally deceitful propaganda should be taken down once debunked. Not everyone reads the articles, less people check the sources.

Sharks have a terrific sense of smell and hearing - it could conceivably have recognized the man's boat and the sound of its engine.

This story isn't true! :(
Unfortunately, it was an april fools joke from 2006... sry guys. Would def be pretty unbelievable though, if we all weren't so gullable to think it true in the first place :P - 1 year ago

. . . .and of course,......it IS "to good to be true". That sux. This shit SHOULD be true,....it REALLY SHOULD.

[ However, the story is entirely untrue. I contacted "Le magazine des voyages de pêche", the French publication mentioned in the message, to enquire about the origin of the story. According to a spokesperson from the magazine, the "Shark Love Story" was published in the magazine two years ago as an April Fools joke. Apparently the joke story escaped the confines of the magazine and began circulating, first in French and later in the English version included here.]DE BUNK LINK - - -

It can happen to virtually anyone. I'm going to go out and find something like this that is "real". Good shit happens. Even "weird ass good shit" happens. Mostly,....sharks happen to eat people. ( It doesn't follow that WE should eat them,....don't get me wrong. )
Nah . The heart WANTS to believe this sort of thing. GOOD for the heart. As a monkey,....even as sort of a MEAN monkey,...we aren't all bad. . . . .and YOU are kewl.
Its like an NPR drive - we should MATCH this donation,....in legitimate currency.
