My pit/shepard mutt Floyd(hence the screen name) used to steal the caps to my jack daniels bottles & chew 'em up if I left it off & wasn't paying attention for even a second. He stopped when I put a lil tiny bit in a cap & put it in front of him. He snatched it up & spit it right out had the funniest look on his face, then went & drank all his water. Lil guy learned his lesson good. Wish I'd had a camera that was hilarious.

In college I had a dog who could open the fridge (we put a rope through the handle), and bring you the beer you liked. This was a long time ago, before micros, but he knew that I liked Molson and Moosehead. One roommate drank Corona. Our other mate drank Colorado Kool Aid. He never once brought the wrong type of beer to any of us, but he would "accidentally" knock over that Coors to lap it up!
