    • I think that both gay and straight people should keep there bedroom habits private unless their are significant others involved that should be made aware of outside promiscuity. These issues are of no importance and there are other issues of life to be concerned with. You can't hear or see real news anymore so many of our informational resources have receded to gossip, fashion, and dropping names of stars blah blah blah.... Issues that concern us as a nation such as food supply, education, longer life expectancy, healthier lives, reuniting families, helping the sick, eliminating our death row popluation by following through with executing criminals before they can contaminate and destroy other lives, keeping our families together, protecting our children from predators, bad baby sitters, over-sexed and emotionally unbalanced figures of authority, getting our people off of drugs. We need to stop wanting to be entertained with foolishness, and nit picky your black and i'm white and i don't like you because blah blah...

@hotlava: I assume you mean that these issues are of no importance in the big picture of life. That's true and we should allow equal access to the law for gays so that we can get on with our lifes. It is no one's business what we do in the bedroom. Shame on them for passing laws against gays.

    • If you look at the long history of gay people you will find a disproportiate number have contributed to the advancement of civilization.
I personally think that homosexuality is the next step in human evolution now that we have fucked our way to seven billion people.
We need more Walt Whitmans and less Tracy Morgans!

This is true, and I would mostly agree.

But gays are already violently attacked for being gay.

      Hence, the poor taste.

If he made fun of how they dressed and talked, then there would be not outcry.

He dished it out ...he should now have to take it,not watching him or giving him money is a given. Why should he be able to say something but, everyone should shut up and leave him alone? I think nazis should be able to march that doesnt mean I think people should not show up to give them shit and just leave them be.

I wondered too if the gay community was over-reacting. Then, I re-framed it:
Two Jewish children were playing with fire and burned themselves. Their father was not at all sympathetic. He said, get over it. After all, your grandmother was burned alive in an oven- and she didn't cry and whine about it. Funny stuff.

    • I've never thought that Tracy Morgan was funny, so I'm not surprised. Hollywood has always gone out and found some of the purest idiots on the planet, packaged them up in stupid movies, sold them to us, and most of us have always bought their stooge acts hook ,line, and sinker. He's not a Dave Chapelle or a Richard Pryor.

Tracy Morgan is , always has been and always will be a damn idiot so stop watching his movies or stop complaining.

You know keithponder, I told my son the same thing, I don't think he is funny. I simply cannot stand that baby talk act he has, it annoys me to no end. You are right, he is not applying wit, or irony or even sarcasism like many of the masters in the comedy trade. He is simply a grown man who has agreed to act like a bumbling idiot on screen.

She's his boss, so it does mean something for her to come out publicly against his statement. Your qualification of the gesture means absolutely nothing in this context. If she would've just let it go without saying anything she would've been blasted as well by certain groups. At least she went on record which is what she deserves credit for, simple as that.

    • There was a time when people understood that a joke was a joke. But now the twisted gay population wants to tar and feather Morgan for a joke. Typical hypocrisy from the gays. They belly laugh at jokes about heteros and religion but don't you dare say ANYTHING even slightly derogatory about gay people.

I suppose if Morgan really meant that he would kill his son if he were gay you might have a point. But he didn't so you don't.

      First you say:
      "... a joke was a joke"

      Then you say:
      "the twisted gay population"

Thus, making it clear that it is not just a joke even to YOU.
You think jokes are an excuse to mask your hatred and bigotry.

      you say:
      "... even slightly derogatory ... "

The joke was about murdering his son for being gay.
Gee, is that even slightly derogatory?
      Just a little maybe?
Hey moron- it was not a joke about gays being hair stylists.
It was a joke about a parent murdering his son because he's gay.

If you think that is FUNNY- well, we already know the kind of person you are.

Thanks for your kind comment. My son is director of patient protocol for a large cancer research facility on the west coast. Most of the patients he deals with have been declared terminal. He is a caring man as are so many of the gays who are in the health care profession. I wonder if homophobes would eschew hospital stays if they knew how many of those caring for them in their hours of need were gay?

If all comedians jokes were funny they would overpopulate the industry. He tried a joke that he thought was comedy and he was wrong. Let the ticket buyers sort it out. I've watched "A" listed comedians totally bomb while testing new material.

But all of this public outrage is ridicules. Why don't you guys just hang him in the town square? Will that quite the blood thirsty hetero-phobic gays? I doubt it.

I do not HATE anyone. I strongly oppose the choice to be gay and the forced indoctrination thereof. But that's my opinion and sense most of the posters here are of a different opinion, they automatically blast me as an uneducated homophobe. In other words, free speech and opinions are great... as long as they agree with their own.

Oh, good lord. How about you try this: watch some gay porn, and try your damndest to get an erection. If you are indeed "straight by nature," you won't get an erection. It is simple.

Sexual preference is not a choice. You need to learn to think outside of your apparently limited experience and try to empathize with people. You don't know everything.

And your silly "breaking a major law against nature" argument is just a construct inside your own head. Gay people having sex with each other does not create holes in the ozone or cause the extinction of species. In fact, since humankind is overrunning the planet and choking the life out of it, the less babies had, the better. We need to slow down with all this unchecked breeding for breeding's sake. Nature will find a way to do it for us if we can't.

Look you obviously have a fake profile and like trolling but you also actually believe in the crap you say...I have never met anyone that had a problem with gays except when it stemmed from religion,so I am simply guessing that you are a christian conservative. If I am wrong fine.To me you saying you hate gay people is no different than saying you hate women or someone of a different race. You are either attracted to someone or you're not, there simply is no choice in it. Imagine if you were told that your being attracted to women was wrong and you should be with men.Putting up with someones beliefs doesnt mean agreeing with them or not debating them but, when you have the belief that gays are inferior to you and something should be done about them ,that delves into the realm of self defense from you, not just putting up with.

Murder is not something to joke about. How many people have been dissowned, abused, and murdred by their families because they were Gay? If you are unwilling to accept a person because of your biases then fine. But that does not give you the right to to cause or advocate that pesons death or any other kind of abuse. And for you information I am not gay but I support the right of the LGBT community to have happy fulfilling lives that are given fill and equal protection under the law.

Ah! So if nature filled out that paperwork for you. So you did not have a choice in whom you were attracted to. So using your logic nature filled out the paperwork for people in the LGBT community as well. So these people like who they like because nature chose for them. like you They were BORN with their sexuality predetermined.
