People flocked to Palin for the same reasons they're flocking to Badmann. Unfortunately, Badmann is a much more polished version of Palin and I think that is the most frightening thing about her.

Surprised Bob didn't call her out on that last blatant lie about unemployment and the stimulus. No one ever said the stimulus would keep the rate from going above 8%- Another lie they keep repeating so people will believe it.

Don't forget that thinking people all thought that W was a dingbat and not viable and couldn't get elected so they didn't have to worry about him. We were ever so very very wrong. The GOP has spent thirty years buying up our democracy and we are paying the price now.

This lady is very very dangerous in our current political climate given that the working class and poor actually believe that tax breaks for the wealthy and corporations creat job. She is every bit as electable as W. There aer huge numbers of folks out there who have bought into the GOP program despite their income being ravaged, their rights being savaged (they don't eve realize that one) and the courts across the country being purchased by the GOP. Those folks are not a fringe like we want to pretend they are a mass who do in fact go out and vote and they vote against their own interests in favor of the interest of very big businesses (the GOP is wholey owned by these huge business interests)

She gives good presentation. She recites her talking points like a pro, no awe shuck fumbles. Now excluding Ron Paul -because he is where he will be for the rest of his life-no politician every answers a question straight forward. What makes her interesting is she has a very decisive intense but restrained voice. In contrast to Obama's cautious tone, her delivery reflects assurance. God forbid, but she could certainly be a roll model for the southern bells. She has been relected, and she is the darling of the tea bagers. Her future looks good, if not the nominee she will be a power broker.

Then what I love is after an interview like this Bachmann (or any republican for that matter) will say she was attacked by the left wing media.

Now today, Michele Bachmann mixed up John Wayne and John Wayne Gacy, claiming that her hometown of Waterloo, Iowa, is also the home of John Wayne ... when it was really the home of John Wayne Gacy.

That's what she gets for trying to compare herself to John Wayne! What a wally! ☺

Michelle is the poster child for Republican voter ignorance. She does a great job of representing why the Republicans have become so ridiculous and the people that still vote Republican are just as ridiculous.

I am somewhat familiar with Michele's thinking, and this is typical Michele. I've actually met her twice (before she was a State Senator) and had almost a half hour conversation with her once. My first impression is still my impression.....she is a good talker and she thinks in black and white. Shades of grey confuse (and I believe scare) her.

The sad part of this story is that Bachmann got caught red handed , Bob Schieffer asked her several times and she would not answer and kept repeating her prepared drivel. If there is anyone that cant see that this woman is stupid they need to be shaken vigorously . While shouting WTF is your problem.

GOP pols just try to reflect whatever any particular audience wants to see/hear. Voters need to do due diligence and put ACTIONS with the pols instead of just listening to the lies they tell to put voters at ease.

Of course, not much of the media will help voters out by reporting what is done rather than what is said. Mr.Schieffer has gone a long way toward professional redemption IMHO. He veered too far into the dark side during the bush years, when his brother was appointed as ambassador to Australia and then Japan by the impostor POTUS.
