I come here everyday three or 4 times a day, check the news, so far whats so weird is all the name calling, If you are a repub..your bad go away, if you disagree with anyone, go away. Makes it hard to get into any discussions at all, so..I just read. .. its like its a giant bunch of kids running the show. I do hope it gets better. As for the contest it says July, I imagine somewhere around the middle of the month..who knows. I keep working on BK stories on the side, I can always change the names edit a tad and use them for my own ebooks :)
I can only get current online, so no way to watch anything new.
Someone asked Matthew(Doug) and he said, even he doesn't know but he sure is hoping..

Who won the contest? My family happens to be huge fans of Keith Olberman. I expected that the continual user generated content with the coming of Olberman would really knock the channel out of the park! I find us, the community members sorely returning to current, hoping to see the change in format back to writer challenges, participant created TV with StoryMaker and new cutting edge apps to bring these awesome TV shows to the forefront of the future of entertainment. And I see the community sadly, hanging on and drifting apart with all these fragmented other websites and formats.
I have clicked and clicked and clicked trying to unlock the closing of the production of Bar Karma, and here in this last desperate attempt I seemed to have made an impact, getting community to speak up and I'm happy to see its not just the comrades I met when I was tinkering with Bar Karma, but new names and new faces as well. I could have sworn, by now, a new TV programmer was promised and I really hoped the answers I was looking for was coming with this announcement. Who is in charge here? Are you all on vacation? Open your laptops, hire a PR rep, come on guys! You're on cable TV!
Just think a little more communication and while I did my best to spread my optimism, I could have been working a real campaign for viewers, which of course, happens anyway, since it's the most promising new career avenue for me since 2004. But imagine how many more people would be watching Keith as well! You had a built in vehicle!OMG Coffee bot, is this your channel? Well, if so, I should have tried to brief you. Pop culture in America might be a little confusing, and these days people want a little gossip, and fictional scifi programming along side their news. It's what gives us more humanity. Look at the demographics and I'm sure you would see the connection. But if it's a human running the programming, the show must go on! Time to pass the hat!
Lastly, had I known this was a once in a lifetime opportunity, I would have given a lot more to have the chance at being a TV writer. Mostly I think this is unfair to the community members who have waited all their lives for their big TV break. They succeeded, and put in 300x the amount of effort for this channel.
I do appreciate the letters from the producers, and to the execs at Current, I'm not trying to piss you off really. We've slaved for you and now we simply want to nurture our results...the winner of the contest, the future of Current programming, the renewal of Bar Karma, and the option of a spin-off. If you have no interest, obviously this Community is eager to carry forth. But since I suspect you do, we ask of you kindly, can you guide us and take a moment to review our requests? Can we expect to see Bar Karma or similar programming again? Do you need help pulling it all together? Pleeeeeeaase! We've been so good, and patient all month! My bad its been 2 months!

who the hell wants another trash channel like what MTV became? Instead of hiring the guy that turned MTV into a channel that never plays music and has things like Jersey Shore (barf!) Current should have tried things like advertising itself...anywhere really. I only even discovered the channel existed because of Will Wright and I've never seen an ad for current anywhere.
