    • It humors me, that as much anti-government rhetoric Republicans spew, that they are so bent on controlling the most base and inherent human rights. What I'm saying, I guess is no great revelation, but it really frosts my shorts. It's just crazy. They want for there to be no government interference on their rights to conduct unscrupulous business practices, and they want to disallow taxes and to cut all government social services (except of course those that benefit them), yet they're okay with the government having total control over a woman's body, or the civil liberties of people they don't like or understand (i.e. the GLBS community). The list of their hypocrisies goes on and on, but it boggles my mind. Sexual orientation is in no way different from any other distinguishing categorization a person may be subject to, and any attempt to treat people differently because of it... is sheer discrimination. It's simply wrong. Judge not ye, lest ye shall be judged ~Matthew 7:1

You picked up on something without really saying it. As far as I'm concerned the "debate" over gay marriage, abortion as well as all other conservative hot button issues are calculated distractions to keep people from uniting and focusing on the REAL problems that threaten this country and the world. It's the classic "divide and conquer" strategy that has been used by tyrants for thousands of years i.e. keep the unwashed masses fighting one another so the (corporate) pigs can loot the countries treasures.

    • Perhaps this would all work out better it the gays would spend an hour or two with Michelle Bachmann's husband in exchange for teaching tea party folks how to make coherent, funny, and correctly spelled signs.

I like that but even better would be "If we can't marry, then you can't cheat on each other". After all they say it is about the sanctity of marriage (where is my barf bag). Sanctity my ass, it is about denying someone the right to be happy and secure. This should cause a few congressmen to hyperventilate.

First the way Michelle Bachmann dresses, she needs a personal shopper. Second If you were married to Michelle Bachmann, you would have to stay in the closet. I don't want you to go through the hell of that marriage....... got to go throw up.....should not have thought of her.......

    • Isn't it ironic that the more male pregnancies a woman carries, the more likely it is that one or more of her sons will be gay? It's the males born after the third son that statistically have an increased chance.

He is my all time favorite comic. It's quite interesting sometimes to re listen to some comics throughout history and the things the used as material then, are still relevant to what's happening now in the world

Be careful doing that those religious nut bags are the ones that break the 10 Commandments all the time "Thou Shall Not Kill" Only if you believe the same way they do if not killing is ok in the name of the lord. Just like the other issue they are firmly against Abortion, must keep the precious fetus alive but it's ok to kill an abortion Doctor or let the mother die if it comes down to fetus or mother.

I would just once like one of them to answer this question for me. If your god is all powerful, all knowing, all seeing, what the hell does he need you for .If he doesn't like Gays, why doesn't he just remove us? If he doesn't like abortions, why not make it impossible to kill a fetus.

All in all thier god sound pretty damn weak to me

I used to be caught up in that crap and the main thing is "you never question God" Why the hell not? If he knows everything, wouldnt he be the one to get answers from, DUH!

You pray and pray and pray and when you don't get an answer, it's your fault. You don't measure up, you are inferior.or maybe there is nothing out there to answer you because if I had children and they kept pestering me with questions I knew the answer to, I would just answer them.

Religion is a self regenerating brainwash. You teach your children the same crap taught to you and out of fear you totally obey. And religious nutcases are either total control freaks or people who are so sub-servant that they willingly give control of their lives over to the control freaks.

They do bring a smile to my face, just still sad that they have to make these signs, when the only real opposition to gay marriage is religion and the politicians that want the religious vote, even though at this point the majority of people want same sex marriage or know that it won't effect them and just want equal rights for all Americans.

It's because it's supposedly in that little black book they tote it's a sin and they feel like anything that's a sin needs to be forced as law on everyone else. They think because they believe everyone else has to as well. Big name Republicans that are running for the Presidential Nominee, they say how much the love the constitution and what our founding fathers stand for, but they are trying to force religion into politics so basically like there little black book they pick and choose what sounds good at the moment that suits them and their agenda. Anything that's a sin affects them for some reason, even though as long as they don't sin the can go to their heaven in the eyes of their lord

    • Funny signs. Good for them. I had to tell a friend, over the Fourth of July weekend, who expressed that she would vote against gay marriage, that it was none of her business who they married and that it did not affect her life in the slightest if they were allowed to marry. I then pointed out her situation and told her that the very attitude she expresses towards gays, is the same attitude that is expressed towards her situation by others, namely the Right. What's sad is she continued to argue based on the bible to the point where I tuned her out and went on to enjoy the BBQ.

It creates so many jobs in the wedding industry with more marriages to be performed, more cakes, more flowers, more dresses, more tuxedos, more gifts, more honeymoon travel, more wedding planners, more venue rentals, more marriage licenses, more party supplies, more alcohol sales, so much money to be spent it will make so many jobs! The Economy can boom!

Hell even Republicans should be able to smell the profit from it lol. Too bad they are basing their political policies from their non fiction little book of plays called the bible, and pissing on our founding fathers graves by pushing religion into politics!
