Winners, Winners where might they be? Come on out and let us see.

Odd, this topic is being removed. We in the community would like to meet the winners and say great job to all.

    • i dont know how winners were chosen or why the people who won things won them or what they won for and it doesnt even seem like they had pitches from what i am running through.. weirds

    • Hey guys, sorry to be late to the party (and thanks to RaEl for notifying me). I was one of the iPad winners, and I can tell you that it wasn't a scam. I had to fill out and mail in a lot of verification and tax paperwork, and have been notified that I will be paying taxes on the prize as if it were earnings, but I did receive to iPad.....so, not a scam!

      I'd love to hear from the grand prize winner, though, about their experience as a TV Programmer. What do you think, Bar Karma staff?

    • Excellent job Punman, I have my email from Regina here from current, when she told me when winners would be announced, I had emailed her also about we wishing to see the screen names and stories. That email received no answer what soever. On our pages here, we can access the scores etc from submissions and what we submitted. Good luck, I don't mind not winning it just all this sneaky stuff that bothers me. Good luck you guys, I'm with you!

    • Good for you! I have also submitted a simular story to Fox, I don't really like Fox News, but it is Al Gore's company, so fox sounded good. Like I said when I put the first post up, it was taken down if five minutes ad it was deleted from my group list. 250 some odd members of that page gone from view in five minutes. This whole thing stinks of a pull out at the last minute, and a quick cover up. Some one in the so called top 20 should have gotten something, that is why we voted on the damn on the tpp 20 in the first place, or what was the point of it all. It is time to rise up aginst this type of crap and make a stand, let Gore know what "HIS" company is up to, I don't think he would be non to happy. Now is the time to post your outrage and not let this happen again. Let them know the Community is just that, they gave us the power now lets use it!!!!

      Current TV Programmer Contest - Something Fishy's Going On

      Dear NY Times Executive Editor-

      Around 6 months ago I entered a contest with Current TV (the new home of Countdown with Keith Olbermann.) To enter the contest you were supposed to first "register" and then pitch ideas/stories of what you thought working as a TV Programmer would be like on the first day. Over the course of the contest, there were nearly 400 entries and my pitches were voted up to #1, #2 and #20 Positions over the course of the contest in terms of popularity.
      This however has nothing to do how winners were to be chosen. A panel of judges would make that decision and post the winners on the website. The winners were announced last week and something doesn't appear to be right.

      1) The winners names were posted, however the winning pitches of the contest were never posted.
      2) Some entrants have been going through all the pitches and not finding any names that match the winners.
      3) Numerous requests to Current TV have gone unanswered regarding these issues.
      4) The final night of the contest (according to the official rules) was supposed to end at 12 Midnight- it did not end at midnight but instead ended at 10PM, 2 hours earlier, and pitches were posted through an alternate means after the 12 midnight hour doing it in a process not in accordance with the Official Rules- I have Print Screens of all the Activity that took place on the last 2 hours of the contest to prove this contest ran afoul of its own rules.

    • Well what did you expect to happen?? Current is going the way of MTV all fluff and nothing that made the site so Great will be left in a couple of months.
