the difference between the Republicans and Democrats. Who was it that attacked unions in Wisconsin and other states ? The Republicans.Who tried to cut out many social programs that are safety nets for a majority of Americans ? The Republicans. Who opposed a base tax on corporations and millionaires ? The Republicans. Everything that the working class has gotten came from a liberal administration. Social Security, family leave act, medicare, medicaid, unemployment insurance, 40 hour work week, pell grants, The GI bill all are results of the so called " evil liberal administrations ". I voted for Obama and will do so again before I would any Republican candidate, but he has made me super mad, because he gives the Republicans damn near everything that they want. What I want to see is a very strong Socialist government, designed to support the masses and bring down Corporate America. So in 2012 , I'm considering voting the straight Socialist ticket. Let face it, the problems of today is a result of a two party system. Why not start looking at other parties. Parties that are intelligent and organized , not the likes of the Tea Party.

it has nothing to do with liberalism.that is a distinction you place on this, other wise it is objective analogy.
this is under comedy isnt it?at least that is where i put it.i think all tea party material should be placed as such.
so if you see this as spin, i ask you to explain what the literal political goal is when they claim "take our country back".
i get how one could say "we have to take out" some one and it is meaning not to kill them but vote them out.i get the metaphor on that.i see the poetic liscence at work there.
what is the actual goal behind the repetitious statement "take our country back" that i am missing.what constitutes our country being taken back that would make it a legit statement rather than fodder for further empassioning the already angry?

i'd like the answer to the same question, how quickly we forget...For the past few years, liberal activists have gathered in Washington each spring for the Take Back America conference, where speaker after speaker -- Obama sometimes among them -- would give rollicking denunciations of the Bush administration before packed rooms of partisans.
But now that Obama has actually taken back America, the activists at this year's gathering feel a bit like the dog that finally caught up with the car. Organizers changed the name from Take Back America to America's Future Now, but that didn't prevent a sharp decline in participation. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/06/03/AR2009060303173....

and taking back america in the instances you cite have policy agendas wich define the hyperbole.
bush wages war, and we feel as if that is a highjacking of what america is.
bush allows us to toture, and we want to take that policy back so that we once again are a people who dont torture.so on and so on.what is the policy in place that is not in line with what america is that you guys are trying to negate in order to take america back?

wow, you just dont get it. you totally ignored my last comment. i suppose if obama continues and even enhances bush era policies that he gets a pass. hey if it aint broke why fix it when enhancing it will make it even better. you really should study your own candidate a little closer before pointing a hypocritical finger my friend

care to share what i missed or just gunna say i missed something and dont get it whilst refusing to help me get that wich i clearly cant get on my own?
from what i read you presented an equivilance in the democratic party doing the take our country back deal as a means of showing the biase on my part.
so i offered what the differences are between the two, in an attempt to explain my point.
would you care to do the same?or just point fingers?
obama gets a pass on bush era policies as those policies arent his.just the same as bush gets a pass on clinton era policies as they are not his.it aint like the religious right were so pissed at bush for dont ask dont tell.that was clintons deal, just like bush era policies are bush's deal

the great ideas may not be originally obamas but he continues to enhance and use them. if you are so blind as to not recognize obama being bush light than theres no help for you.

When you deal with stupid people it's difficult to cut through their ignorance with logical solutions to the problems we ALL face as a nation.
Until they come to grips with reality, they can't be relied on by helping the intelligent people get them to do what needs to be done.
We're in a lot of trouble, folks!
And we need to listen to those who are advancing sound ideas to end the problems of this economic crisis.
First thing to do is stop the wealthy corporations from sucking any more financial lifeblood from this nation...and our pockets!

This economy has forced many into a "sink or swim" mentality who feel that it's hard to want to keep others afloat when you fear your time is just around the corner and all you can think about is weathering a storm of confusion that has become a way of life for those who still have a job, home, savings, car and feel it's far more important to protect your own self and family. Self-esteem has morphed into self-preservation.
Survival of the financially fittest is key. As many tread water they find themselves unable to save a drowning fellow citizen.
After all, there are only so many seats in a lifeboat. There are only so many life preservers to go around. Some will find themselves without either.
But the wealthy 2% will not have to worry. They have private yachts!
I have one question to ask Sister Sarah about her wanting to "take back her country".
What does that receipt look like?

well said, BB. Just who are they going to take their country back from, seems like they want to just keep giving it away to the already wealthy. Don't they know who's really in charge in Washington?
