    • Why has no one thought of this creative use of the tax code? Why wait for salvation (well, at least satisfaction! ;-) Now how do the police work this case?

    • Sisters of St. Francis house of Prostitution
      -----------------------------------------------------

While driving down the road, a man sees the following sign: Sisters of St. Francis House of Prostitution prostitution 10 miles

He thinks it was a figment of his imagination and drives on without a second thought......soon he sees another sign, which says: St. Francis House of Prostitution 5 miles

Suddenly, he begins to realize that these signs are for real....then he drives past a third sign saying Sisters of St. Francis House of Prostitution next right

His curiosity gets the best of him and he pulls into the drive....on the far side of the parking lot is a stone building with a small sign next to the door reading: Sisters of St. Francis

He climbs the steps and rings the bell....the door is answered by a nun in a long black habit who asks, "What may we do for you, my son?"....he answers, "i saw your signs along the highway, and was interested in possibly doing business.".....

"Very well, my son. Please follow me." ....he is led through many winding passages and is soon quite disoriented....the nun stops at a closed door and tells the man, please knock on this door".............

He does as he is told and another nun in a long habit, holding a tin cup answers the door.....this nun instructs, "please place $100 in the cup, then go through the large wooden door at the end of this hallway"....... He gets $100 out of his wallet and places it in the second nuns cup.....

He trots eagerly down the hall and slips through the door, pulling it shut behind him........ as the door locks behind him, he finds himself back in the parking lot, facing another small sign:

Go in peace. You have just been screwed by the Sisters of St. Francis . Serves you right, you sinner.

    • Sister Catherine was asking all the Catholic school children in fourth grade what they want to be when they grow up.

Little Sheila said, "When I grow up, I want to be a prostitute!"

Sister Catherine's eyes grow wide and she barked, "What did you say?!"
      "A prostitute!" Sheila exclaimed.

Sister Catherine breathed a sigh of relief and said "Whew! Thank God! I thought you said 'A Protestant'!"

    • How could it be called Prostitution if they clearly say money was "Contributed" There are many museums that do not charge for you to look around, but they do ask for a "Contribution"

It REALLY IS all about POWER . What happens between two consenting adults is not really amoral , should NOT be illegal , it is a legitimate business transaction . It gives too many too much POWER and independence . Also and and most dangerously , it includes kindness , compassion , respect and even , love , as a revered state . Other religions , promote shame , fear and unquestioning subservience . Do you see why it is so very dangerous ?

      Right you are.
It was component of several of the religions of ancient Middle East.
There may have been others, but the thread that stand out is that the examples noted were all from the more civilized regions like Egypt and Sumeria with established high temple cultures.

The wandering Semitic tribes seem to have practiced it more casually with various Old Testament patriarchs offering their daughters to passing strangers in Bible text.

Maybe that's why the Christian religious successors to those tribes, like the Paul, and Augustine, lobbied against it. Far less hygenic in the streets among the untutored Christian poor.

Exactly . When studying archeology , and observing the ancient sculptures of Lingam and Yoni , i often tried to imagine such a religion . I looked up all i could about it . It was actually not as harmful as the fear filled belief systems seen today .

      You're right about that.
Nietzsche also had it right when he pegged Christians as being "despisers of the body."
Humanity still suffers from the schizophrenic conflicts produced in suffocating human behavior within the sick constraints of "Christian" theology.

the government cannot regulate the activities of the church. That is how the separation between church and state functions. The government is not controlled by the church, the state cannot regulate the activities of the church.

just think of what that means for earth-based healing religions (i.e.the native american church)--entheogens like cannabisand peyote can help us understand an alternative reality and a more relazed situation. Good luck California, do you really want your donations to be taxed?? fuck no. thats charity. Religion celebrates people experiencing the best parts of life. That includes sex and happiness and knowing god. why not make a living doing what you love?

    • One day a hooker went to file her taxes, and for occupation she put prostitution.

The tax collector explained that prostitution was an illegal occupation.

She said she'd have to go home and think about it and that she'd call him back in a hour with her occupation.

An hour later she called him and said, "I've got it... I'm a chicken farmer."

He said, "How do you get chicken farmer out of prostitution."

She said, "I raised over a thousand c#¤#s last year."

It is a twisted world we live in , where large corporations use the beauty of the human body to excite for marketing purposes , and yet torment us all , by NOT delivering the goods . THEY can profit by it , can the individual ? NO . No independent business woman/man allowed . No refining actual companionship to a high art . Just the use for corporate glory . It is absurd . THIS should be a protected religion , it is the OLDEST one we know of .
