Good Grief… Occupy Wall Street Imbeciles Release 13 Demands Including “$20 Minimum Wage” and “Across the Board Debt Forgiveness For All”

Image

From the Occupy Wall Street website, via Picket and Loesch:

Demand one: Restoration of the living wage. This demand can only be met by ending “Freetrade” by re-imposing trade tariffs on all imported goods entering the American market to level the playing field for domestic family farming and domestic manufacturing as most nations that are dumping cheap products onto the American market have radical wage and environmental regulation advantages. Another policy that must be instituted is raise the minimum wage to twenty dollars an hr.

Demand two: Institute a universal single payer healthcare system. To do this all private insurers must be banned from the healthcare market as their only effect on the health of patients is to take money away from doctors, nurses and hospitals preventing them from doing their jobs and hand that money to wall st. investors.

Demand three: Guaranteed living wage income regardless of employment.

Demand four: Free college education.

Demand five: Begin a fast track process to bring the fossil fuel economy to an end while at the same bringing the alternative energy economy up to energy demand.

Demand six: One trillion dollars in infrastructure (Water, Sewer, Rail, Roads and Bridges and Electrical Grid) spending now.

Demand seven: One trillion dollars in ecological restoration planting forests, reestablishing wetlands and the natural flow of river systems and decommissioning of all of America’s nuclear power plants.

Demand eight: Racial and gender equal rights amendment.

Demand nine: Open borders migration. anyone can travel anywhere to work and live.

Demand ten: Bring American elections up to international standards of a paper ballot precinct counted and recounted in front of an independent and party observers system.

Demand eleven: Immediate across the board debt forgiveness for all. Debt forgiveness of sovereign debt, commercial loans, home mortgages, home equity loans, credit card debt, student loans and personal loans now! All debt must be stricken from the “Books.” World Bank Loans to all Nations, Bank to Bank Debt and all Bonds and Margin Call Debt in the stock market including all Derivatives or Credit Default Swaps, all 65 trillion dollars of them must also be stricken from the “Books.” And I don’t mean debt that is in default, I mean all debt on the entire planet period.

Demand twelve: Outlaw all credit reporting agencies.

Demand thirteen: Allow all workers to sign a ballot at any time during a union organizing campaign or at any time that represents their yeah or nay to having a union represent them in collective bargaining or to form a union.

These demands will create so many jobs it will be completely impossible to fill them without an open borders policy.

Since the Wall Street occupiers have made NO demands whatsoever, much less established any platform, as usual congobigot you have pulled all these " demands" from where the sun don't shine and the moon don't glow.Nothing surprising here--just your usual fantastical propoganda made up from the Republican lie machine. If you had any shame , one would expect you to be embarrassed, but you don't . So that leaves us to be embarrassed for you as loyal Americans when you spew this antI-American BS. If you expect to be taken seriously, try starting with some verifiable facts instead of imaginary right wing screeds which make you look like a refugee from a survivalist outpost. I guess, unless it is one tea party attendee that perhaps spelled a word on a sign wrong, and then the whole movement gets branded. It's typical because it's how small children behave, but the Left has very much exposed just how unstable they are with the present protests! The little shoes they wear, thier dirty underwear, their pants, the Ipods, everthing they own was produced by capitalists (some of those idiots spell it "capitolists" in their postings, that's how ignorant they are).

Hopefully NYPD, and cops in other cities, will get tired of dinking around with the dirty pigs and start spraying them with rubber bullets and tear gas. The loonacy of the Left has been tollerated by normal people long enough, it's time to start carrying a baseball bat!

    • The manner of which this or these protests manifested organizational wise, forces one to ask a important question, who gets to speak for these people? This creates a dilemma that occupy wallstreet must figure out or conservative watch dogs will be eating them for breakfast.

As far as demanding a 20 dollar minimum wage, perhaps that moron has not been listening too his fellow protestors, MONEY ISNT REAL, demand 20 dollar minimum wage everything in the country will adjust to that number.

Your point made about the nature of the Banksters' debt based money
is very apt. While some members reacted rather than responded to the
negative sublimation in the immage & wording labeling it, you've brought
up one of the essential points that's got students of money freaked out.
What passes for U.S.money in 2011 has been called a Ponzi Scheme by
NY's former A.G. Eliot Spitzer who pursued many of the ones Nobama's
been in bed with since day 1. 50 years ago, when Federal Reserve notes
& U.S.Notes mutualy circulated, and were still redeemable for Silver coins,
the U.S.dollar still had legitimacy as the world's reserve currency because
the paper was backed by something inherently valuable that has industrial
uses. Coins were historicly melted by the mints at times and recycled back
into modern coins. Congress made a tragic decision to abandon JFK's
executive order 11100 to continue the Treasury's printing U.S.Notes,by
phasing out Silver with the UnConstitutional Silver Coinage act in 1964.

By 1965, the Federal Reserve's printing presses had flooded the world
with inflated, devalued currency to fund the Vietnam war, and establish
military based in 90 countries. The USA has been sliding down that long
slippery slope ever since as the Bankster's ballooned currency has been
collapsing of it's own debt weight. For 50 years, the intntl banking cartel
which owns the fed has been running the show, and has run the USA into
the ground like a winter rat. Because the only ones who make out well are
the Corporations, their uberrich majority controling stockholders, and the
M.I.C. they've invested in. They've been eating up 53% of every tax dollar
and causing the austerity measures which European countries citizens
have been rioting over for a long time. The Bankster's from Wall st.have
corrupted the Government in D.C. Which is why the USA is vexed with
foreign wars supporting Corporate Piracy abroad and Depression at home.
which is around the corner. That's why I support H.R.Rep Kuninick's National Emergency Employment Defense Act. It has the effect of reversing the damage

now i agree with a reasonable minimum wage but historically speaking one usually starts out at the bottom rung and works their way up. either with a company or by education. problem today is too many ingrates who feel they deserve better without having to work hard for it would rather not. a lot of folks would just rather gather about in "feel good" groups, get high and complain about the world instead of attepting to make their own lots better.

    • congoboy:

In public policy, a living wage is the minimum hourly income necessary for a worker to meet basic needs (for an extended period of time or for a lifetime). These needs include shelter (housing) and other incidentals such as clothing and nutrition. In developed nations such as the United Kingdom and Switzerland, this standard generally means that a person working forty hours a week, with no additional income, should be able to afford a specified quality or quantity of housing, food, utilities, transport, health care, and recreation.

Everyone should earn enough money from 40 hours a week to pay for basic needs. PERIOD.
Current Minimum Wage does not meet this criteria.

    • mitekillem:

I may not be very bright, since I miss your point here, so please answer this, since you know so much about the UK and Switzerland; what is the effective combined tax rates in the UK and Switzerland, for people who actually pay the taxes there? In the US, when fed, state, county and city taxes are added up, it's already over 50%. So, how much higher should it be?

Secondly, the minimum wage was always intended to be a starting point, not a hammock. It seems pretty clear to me that as the minimum wage goes up, the number of jobs created at that level goes down. But to the war against the machine crowd, that does not matter. The union leaders are fine letting their members get laid off rather than giving wage concessions to save those jobs. The same mentality applies to both of these issues.

I don't think there are many people opposed to workers earning as much as the market will support, but to demand higher wages than the skill sets are worth just to provide the hammock, is not a realistic way to operate. We have somewhat of a free market here, at least for the time being. The only way to accomplish what you support is have the federal government interfere even more in the dwindling private sector. I don't know about you, but I've never been given a job by a poor man in my life.

    • As radical as they sound, inho, most of those proposed demands
don't sound unreasonable. The 2008 financial meltdown opened
many people's eyes of how extremely corrupt the Wall st based
banking/financial system realy is...How many other countries
economies it has it's tentacles sunk into... How much of a Ponzi
Scheme it is. (The History channel has a documentary: " Prophets
of Doom " in which a mngr of a global money market fund quit after
realizing how much of a Ponzi Scheme he claims is embedded in
the world banking/credit scheme ). We're in the eye of the hurricane
now because no mater how badly things have gotten to, the USA's
currency is still the world's reserve currency. Ie we can still pay for
everything in dollars instead of selling dollars to buy the currencies
of those countries owning commodities like Oil we need to buy. But
when that 50 year old panacea finaly gets dumped, many Americans
living on the edge now will be in real financial trouble. If you have to
live on a budget now, and are barely getting by every month, and you
have no reserves to fall back on, then you know what I'm refering to.

Amercians aren't used to the kind of hyperinflation that will put the
normal cost of living out of their reach. Gas is expected to cost $10
a gallon by 2020. Food prices, medical bill costs, will also skyrocket.
H.R.Rep. Kucinick's proposed a law to restore the American economy
back into our hands, and out of Wall St's hands. It's urgent we all
support it. Though there's no official mutualy agreed upon list of
demands, that one person who formulated these 13 ideas made 10
of them as good as Gold. Hr. Rep Kucinick & Senator Sanders solidly
support these proposed reforms. Those men are anything but the
degrading term labeled in the caption. We don't have a living wage
law now. If we did, it would lessen many people's dependency on the
Government, which is dependency on the burden of others' paid taxes.
Most people merely want a chance to fully support themselves w/o being
exploited by minimum wage jobs which are often demeaning dead ends.

"Admin note: This is not an official list of demands. This is a forum post submitted by a single user and hyped by irresponsible news/commentary agencies like Fox News and Mises.org. This content was not published by the OccupyWallSt.org collective, nor was it ever proposed or agreed to on a consensus basis with the NYC General Assembly. There is NO official list of demands."
