So this cancels out Voltaire on my list of things to be proud of about my French heritage. I do love it though.

I was just comforted by evidence that American TV isn't always the worst. Of course, this was very old. Jodi Foster was just a slip of a girl

Way back in the early days of Saturday Night Live, we used to have a bunch of kids at my mom's for that show and a sort of slumber party/all nighter TV fest. Everybody usually crashed all over the living room floor. After SNL and The Midnight Special would come a horror show. After that, on PBS, a multi-part Russian documentary about Ivan the Terrible. The two kids who sometimes managed to stay awake and watch it with me called it "Ivan the Not So Hot" . Filmed in the late 40s, it looked a lot like VERY early American cinema, but with sound. We loved the subtitles, including all the 'ha ha ha's' for the folk songs.

This must have been what CP30 and Vader did after spending some years apart.

LMAO! Reminds me of a guy I used to know on Current...probably what he's doing now. He always did have a bit of the ballerina in him (jk). Thanks for the delightful break from the serious stuff.

My daughter was trying to come up with a Halloween costume that she could wear on the scooter she uses to get to the office. Thinkin one of these would work LOL
