This is a good idea which should be extended to require drug tests for all Government employees including Police, corrections officers, probation officers District Attorneys, tax assessors, tax collectors, DCFS, and all other public paid employees who have compelled and enforced this violation on the public. Let them experience the humilating and degrading experience we have all been subjected to for far to long.

Two wrongs don't make a right. Politicians, Judges and Bankers should be judged by their actions, not their pee.
Enough wrongs have been committed, I don't think we have to resort to bathroom politics to find their wrongs. If what they do is wrong, hold them accountable.
Everyone who consumes cannabis should not loose their job. Everyone who does not consume cannabis is not automatically good. People should not be judged by the quality of their pee.
I don't think drugs are the problem with our politicians, judges, or bankers. It's the lack of accountability, shame and justice.

I don't often disagree with you, but on this I'm sorry, but I disagree. I don't think drugs have caused the problems. What they do on their own time, is their own business. What they 'do' is what should be held accountable.
If a Congressman consumes cannabis on their own time, I don't think it is your's, or my business. A dragnet often catches the wrong people in the process. I don't think you can blame what they have done to America on drugs. I think it's the GREED and CORRUPTION, which does not show up in their pee!

Just because I have not had the chance to Loot the system as they have does not make their actions correct, especially when we are paying them to do so....
*Edit* I am sure many of us would do the same if we knew we could get away with it and the repercussions would not lie on our shoulders....

Just how many medical labs are owned by GOP pols or their kin? Besides demonizing the poor and all other people (but themselves and their patrons) who get government checks, there HAS to be some money making angle. Like Rick Scott in FL.

They`d find a way around it! Where i live we have a new voter ID law. A 90 yr old woman went to get a picture ID(required under Replutocrat law) so she could continue to vote. They denied her because her Birth Certificate had her maiden name and not her married name. Never knew you could change your birth record to reflect marriage,or maybe the doctors should just ask the parents who the kid is gonna marry in 20yrs!
