Wake Up, Ron Paul would be the perfect Trojan Horse to destroy Social Security!
A public weary of our Imperialistic Foreign policy's, is a given and a wonderful idea to pull out everywhere around the World. But to place a Perfect Trojan Horse in Ron Paul in the most powerful job would be an extremely bad idea. Mr. Paul is on record of his hatred of abortion, Medicare, Social Security, and several Departments within the Government. I'm not sure how much he alone could do as President to destroy these programs but it has been a Republican wet dream to destroy the FDR New Deal for decades. Just when the Government will be needed to shore up such programs, an anti-social agent would be in the White House. The outright majority of Americans want the Rich to pay a bigger share of Taxes because they alone have benefited from extremely low Tax rates for 3 decades. Don't fall for this charade that is Ron Paul! A Ron Paul Presidency would be a Progressive Nightmare, and when polled recently the most popular political word was Progressive by a landslide! Just as we Progressives are about to turn the corner the worst thing would be a Ron Paul Presidency!

Don't forget Ronald Reagan increased (regressive) Social Security wage taxes by 23%, and by almost 150% for self-employed Americans. (He increased it by 23% then doubled it for them.) This with the explanation that the SS pay-as-you-go system up to then would not sustain Baby Boomers in their retirement, so they would have to PRE-pay for theirs. That makes them the only generation to not only have paid to support the two generations before them, but also to pre-pay for their own. And yes Ron Paul would destroy rather than save Social Security (and Medicare), but so would Obama (just not as fast).

He's not a Trojan horse, his opinion on these issues is totally open.
He would destroy every Federal Agency he could get his hands on, regardless of what it would actually do to the country at large.
You want to see what a Ron Paul country looks like? Open a history book. His policies were all tried and all failed prior to 1932.
I imagine his administration, if he were ever elected, would be incredibly similar to the Coolidge Presidency. You know, the guy who didn't do fucking anything and just let all the bubbles build themselves up.

-You seem to be implying that our country was worthless before 1932. Sure, we weren't quite a super power back then, but are we really better off back then or today? Sometimes smaller is better... I just don't want to deal with complications between states.

who honestly thinks that Ron Paul can win this thing? I actually would kind of like him to, I don't agree with him on all points but he is defiantly the best of the republican candidates. I mean really our other options are just not even worth mentioning, lets be real here. That being said I would much rather just have Obama for the next four years and the republican party is obviously feeling the same because look at the contenders, then look at who the real powerhouses are in the Republican party. Republicans have put forth a bunch of nobody's and nothings so that when they come out with contenders for the next election they can say things like "Wow our party is much stronger this time around." and "O look how strong our contenders are this elections, look how much we have changed over the last four years." Blah Blah Blah. Just support Obama, vote for Obama, and forget these assholes.

Yes, I most certainly do want federal regulation of marriage. Paul is moron. Why the hell should I not be allowed to get married in Texas or Utah, but I can in New York or Massachusettes. I am a citizen of the United States and should have the same rights as any other citizen. No state should have any right to tell me I cannot be married wherever or whenever I chose. State's Right's is nothing but a code phrase for government sanctioned discrimination. Mr. Paul may take his idiotic ill thought out opinions and shove them where the moon don't glow and the sun don't shine.
I understand full well the ramifications of Paul's statements , it is you who haven't investigated the cause and effect of his fatastical and radically right wing bloviations. Please wake up. the American Dream is dying in your face. You work hard you support your elders and they don't give a shit. I have mine go get yours. Congress in washinton knows that you won't get yours even though you are paying for those that came before you. Congressional folks have TRI care. It is different from medicaid and medicare. They do not pay a dime for there heathcare. Yet they dictate how much you are worth. Let them eat cake is there motto. As far as social security goes try eliminating it from your paycheck. It ain't going to happen. You will pay and pay for the sins of george bush, his father and ronald reagun. And yet the American people keep voting for people that want to screw them at every turn. You seem to think you have the power of the vote. L.M.A.O. The world as your parents knew it does not exsist any more. Education is imperative. They are a dog and pony show for the masses while the same agenda continues to be implemented at an increasingly faster and more frightening speed.
The coming collapse is not some nearly unpredictable accident. It's not even a probable occurrence that a prudent economist would be able to predict with a little research. No, the coming collapse is a guaranteed happenstance being brought about as part of a deliberate design.
I don't know who the ideal manager for the collapse will be. But what I do know is that it is not the man who believes the executive branch has the authority and power to indefinitely detain U.S. Citizens without trial.

Really....
And Obama hasn't been the the "Trojan horse" for an absolute police state?
What's fuct up, Ron Paul has been pretty clear (if you'd actually pay attention to him) there are things he'd like to do, and there are things he CAN do....
"Destroying" social security would fall into that "like to do" category.
Further it's kinda misleading to illustrate HALF of his position, it's not as if he'd even like to gut social security and leave Americans with no viable substitute.
But much like on the "right" the "left" only seems to like the whole truth when it's convenient.
And fuck money, it's not actual food, shelter, or anything else important.... I'm going to laugh when the marvels of modern technological advancements lead a fat lazy populace to it's doom.... Learn to do for yourselves, why covet what others use to oppress you, kinda stupid & hypocritical if you ask most philosophers...
