Not the 26,000-square-foot Florida house they currently lived in. Oh, no. This was a new residence, modeled on Versailles, a 90,000-square-foot mega-mansion with 10 kitchens, 30-plus baths and a closet so big the uninitiated have mistaken it for the master bedroom. That house.
“She was beauty and brains, he was hard work and smarts, and this house is their love child,” Greenfield explains. “When they put that house on the market, I felt like that was the turning point in the film.”

Sounds like a sweet super rich family, does not sound like a film I would ever care to see. OMG I have to sell my mega mansion I am going to cry, I just done empathize with that right now, maybe if I get my way and get rich, then loose it all and have to sell my mega mansion I will but until them I am going to go spend my 8 bucks on something else. Maybe Pixar will have something cool by then.

Notwithstanding that Mrs. Siegal is reported to a "warm and engaging" woman, or that they are now offering this stupendous mega-mansion for sale, isn't there truly a point where bad taste and sick excess (10 kitchens and 30 plus bathrooms for one family in a 90,000 square foot kitsch reproduction of Versailles in Florida) spirals out of control?
Is this another example of the "banality of evil," or just another quirky existential joke in the good ole' USA? - 1 year ago

I can see what he is thinking though. I want a house that size, I want a financial empire. The reason I want a house of that size is because I want my empire run by the people I will pass it to when I die, and I want them to each have an apartment in my home. Everyone has there own suite and we keep a guest suite or two free for other friends and family. Its not gross excess, it is concentration of power. He has 7 kids, all of whom could take a suite in that home. Plus a few for guests.
