What If Barack Obama Is A Traitor?

What if Ron Paul and Buddy Roemer are right about the election process and about the erosion of our core civil rights? And what if Barack Obama truly DOES think the Constitution is an outdated joke?

Those of you mocking this: set down that refreshing, cool glass of Obama Kool-Aid and read this: http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/cifamerica/2012/jan/02/ndaa-historic-ass...
So you don't believe The Guardian OR The Atlantic, both of which are liberal-leaning publications? (And highly reputable?)
OK, fine. Read what the ACLU, Amnesty International, and Human Rights Watch have said about the NDAA. They consider it one of the most heinous things ever signed into law by an American president, regardless of his party membership.

NDAA signed into law by a Democrat. He should not have done it. I noticed how angry the Republican Congress that passed it was when he did. Rest assured, no Republican president would have done anything like that, would they? Far more heinous than legalized torture. What if Tea Party Republicans weren't seditionist?

The NDAA easily passed with support from both parties. Don't play the Democrat/Republican game. They are the two sides to the same coin. check out the stats yourself. http://www.govtrack.us/congress/vote.xpd?vote=s2011-218

Funny isn't it, how when we point out that these kinds of posts never mention the Republican involvement in these things, and we bring it up, it's us that's playing favoritism. The post is called "What if Obama is a traitor". Not "What if the Democrats and Republicans are traitors". I know the point of the video is how Obama has been disappointing the Liberals, but the young mans contention that Liberals accept these things simply because Obama has done them is foolish. Liberals do not accept these things period. Where do you think the article the speaker in the video is talking about came from, a Conservative publication? This new NDAA is a construct of the Republican Congress. It is their baby. Obama just made the mistake of not killing it.

Reckon we can play what if all day long. What if Ron Paul really is the racist that wrote all of those articles in his newsletters?
The only what if that matters is what if someone from the Republican Party were to beat Obama? The answer is simple we would go from bad to worse. With Obama at least we do not get Federal and Supreme Court judges that will destroy our rights. The financial crap will happen exactly the same no matter who is elected.
The President does not have anything to do with the American Economy. That is determined by the people that actually run our government and those people are the same no matter who is President.

Are you saying habeas corpus was in place under the Bush administration? The Military Commissions Act of 2006 suspended habeas corpus. It was Bush that ended posse comitatus. the Defense Authorization Act of 2007, signed by Bush in 2006, allows the President to "Declare a public emergency and station troops anywhere in America to suppress public disorder. Obama did not do away with either habeas corpus or posse comitatus. Bush did. Once again, Obama being blamed for what Republicans did under Bush. OK, tribalgreed you said below that "none of the points made in the video can be refuted." Simple point of fact, anything can be refuted, the question lays in evidence and historical reference. I stand that ALL of these points can be intelligently refuted, if not simply debunked as the overly fantasized bigotry of the right wing agenda. On to the points
Indefinate detention has been a "legal" option for a long long time, and Bush/Cheney's "Patriot Act" actually gave the power for "detentions of undetermined length" thats indefinate right?
Draw up a kill list? Well hate to break it to you, but each government inteligence and military department SUPPLIES the POTUS with one of these lists every six months since LBJ was in office.
Procede with spying on American Citizens. There have been government controled groups for the purpose of spying on americans since before the civil war. In fact George Washington created a league of spies specifically to spy on Colonialists and Americans suspected of supporting the throne.
Obama has done nothing to stop the persecution of whistleblowers from before his presidency, however both those referenced here already had prosecution started against them before he took the oath of office.
Woah, reinterpreting "War Powers"?! Seriously? There's something else started in the Bush years that Obama now seems to have to answer for? So what war did Obama start? Or all of the wars he has been president during also hand-me-downs.
Enter and perpetrate such a war? Really? Where? When? Yemen? You're gonna call that a war, or supporting of the people? Libya? Thats just as much a joke to claim it was an illegal war. Come on now. The idea of a "covert war" in regions of africa (most notably Somalia) is also an egregious over reach here. All of the actions taken in this region have ALL been in direct answer to actions taken by others... or where we supposed to just let guerilla fighters attack our civilians, let pirates hold our people hostage?
Institutionalized "naked scanners" and full body pat downs? Again you can thank the Patriot Act and the populaces reaction to the fear mongering of the right for this one as well.
Planned expansion of TSA, once again, this was part of the blueprint given by Cheney in the Patriot Act and subsequent legislations after 9-11.
Undeclared drone war? No, these drones are taking strikes in areas that already part of our war zones, or within range of the warzone. Yes he leaves final call for many strikes to our commanders and inteligence officersv as well he should as he would never be able to perform the duties of his office if everytime the was a chance for someone somewhere to pull a trigger!
If Bush can claim executive protections then so can all those that follow.
I am done now, I haven't the stomach to listen to anymore of this video and it's obvious so far that everything here can be spun or propogandized by either the right or the left, and debate over these issues is pointless whith those who aren't willing to at least listen to other points of view.

Not one of the points made in the video can be refuted. They are facts, not opinions. And the global corporations LOVE Obama. Look at his biggest donor: Goldman Sachs.
Obama is bought and sold by Big Oil and Big Finance. If you want to convince yourself otherwise, go ahead, but he is NOT a populist and is not working in the peoples' best interests.
Republicans suck as well, but it's a minor distinction: both are just corporate pawns nowadays. Different jerseys, same team.
