The so-called leader, Dave Mustaine, said today that he doesn't support gay marriage because he is a Christian, and, he is not gay. Grrrrrreeat. Thanks for sharing Dave. I'll make a note of it. For the record, I did review some of the lyrics and found many of them to be considered "anti-christian."

      I am sure that people like their music. But it is like the pharmacist who won't fill a prescription because it violates his religious belief. I say, keep making music, keep fillin those scrips and leave religion in your private life. Amen.

      As author of the article, it is my opinion that Dave thinks he is better than you. He wants to pass laws that forbid you from getting married. Why? Because his idea of marriage is the only "approved" one by him. He thinks his laws are better than your laws. So, yes, he thinks he is better than you.

      Exactly. Which is why I wrote in the article, "does anyone really care?" No. No one cares what some metal band aging hippy thinks. Especially when he says "I'm a christian" and "i am not gay." So what! Get a life! Society is moving on and these dinosaurs are like watching a slow motion train wreck.

      I guess a better question would be "why is the mainstream media promoting Dave Mustaine?"

      He was practically a nobody in the 80's when Metallica gave him the boot. My guess is that the media is promoting him simply because he's a recent born-again Christian and they are probably looking the replace the long in the tooth Ted Nugent.

    • I am willing to allow anybody to be against Same Gender Marriage for any reason they want, including chrisitanity. What I want them to understand is that they can be against Same Gender Marriage but they do not have the right to enact laws telling others that we have to live by their chrisitan morals.

      I have my own set of morals and even though I am heterosexual I am not morally opposed to Same Gender Couples getting married. In fact as an ordained minister I would be honored to officiate a wedding for a Same Gender Couple.

    • dave is a douche. and a hypocrite, as i remember as a kid hanging out at lamour's in brooklyn when my uncle babysat me, and dave was ANYTHING but christian. or straight.
