    • The simplest way around this nonsense is not to set up a Facebook account. I deleted my account years ago and have no intention of ever going back. Trust me, you'll survive without it. It doesn't mean you're information isn't available, but why make it easier for the government to keep an eye on you?

      If you post on Facebook you may as well rent a billboard and place all your private information on it. In fact, the information on the billboard will reach far FEWER people than your Facebook account. People don't seem to understand this. Facebook is not in the social game because they like people, but for the money. They're are a clearinghouse for your personal information to anyone who wants to pay for it. If you are aware of this and still maintain your Facebook account then you can't complain.

      I know a lot of people who are making their exit plan, going back to get a degree in something that will yield them a job in another country, others who still have a little bit of money left buying land in South American countries, and still others who are eying Canada as another possibility. If a violent conflict breaks out, another civil war, people will likely just grab their RV's and start streaming into Mexico or Canada to get away from the mayhem.

      Extremists on the religious right can only push people so far before they are going to get fed up and fight back. Hopefully, there will be states with the courage to detach from the union and become a haven for people who want to get away from theocratic/oligarchical rule. Perhaps the hated state of California will secede, or even an alliance of states.

      I dunno the exact details, but my prescient perceptions are sounding an alarm in my consciousness and I am making my plans. I am getting my degrees at the University and making myself marketable in the new globalized world. Maybe I have read too many sci fi novels that prophesy a world where the Christian Right takes over and we have a social war between scientific reason and religious superstition, but I believe I have seen the writing on the wall reflected in the choice of candidates the GOP has put before the nation. It demonstrates how far to the Right they have traveled and being a conservative now is considered being a "leftist, socialist, communist". That is alarming.

      I do admit to having a plan B as well . Still , they cannot maintain global domination . It started in the same place it must end . With money . It is their Achilles heel . IT may yet be their undoing .

    • Social Media and the increased surveillance state are proving to be a bonanza for the terror driven economics of defense. Police State is just the half of it. Perhaps many conspiracy theorists will be proven factual, but only after the body count is in the millions and the American Holocaust is something we read about in history books.
