If you use the Thunderbird email program, you can filter out items with certain words in subject line, the body of the message, or from certain addresses, or any combination. I just made a filter to delete anything from Current that has #####@$#@! in the body of the message. All the rest of my Current notifications come through and I never have to even think about #####@$#@! unless I trip over some of his nonsense whining in an actual thread. Generally just ignore those replies. Life is nice and not as much troll feeding.

Yes, I do know about critical consciousness - despite the fact that I was not educated in Brazil. It is also a consciousness that would infinitely improve you if you could acquire it, it would then allow you to pretend to be human.

Maybe you are not aware of what is being taught in American universities today. Often is it not really direct, but sometimes it is. It is the concept of "critical consciousness."
The origins are a bit complex, coming from Foulcaut, Derrida, and others, and it is tied to deconstructionism, post-modernism, etc. It is a waste of time to get into those. Suffice to say that it is a method to look at society in terms of power. The idea is to get people - unsuspecting students - to view the world this way, and they are primed, of course. This becomes simply normal for them if the professors succeed: Look at human relationships and societies in terms of power structures.
The real essence is that in this putative "search" for what they purport to be "truth," the power structure always is directed to the free market and other places, such as America. It is also directed at western modes of thought and white males. These are the supposed "sources of power" that need to be exposed and brought down.
It is variation of a theme on Marxism. Nothing more. Pure tripe.

The "cliche" to which I referred is the one that certain types of people think that life under Lenin and Stalin was better than under the Czars. They conveniently leave out the reforms that the Czar had implemented and for which he had plans before the Commies killed the whole family - SEVEN PEOPLE.
Eyewitness account:
" I saw that all the members of the Tsar's family were lying on the floor with many wounds in their bodies. The blood was running in streams. The doctor, the maid and two waiters had also been shot. When I entered the heir was still alive and moaned a little. Yurovsky went up and fired two or three more times at him. Then the heir was still."Lenin signed the order to brutally kill the entire family, and it was well before they were captured.
Trotsky said, "The severity of this punishment showed everyone that we would continue to fight on mercilessly, stopping at nothing."
I speak TRUTH.

Yes, international studies have clearly shown that Americans are the most generous people in the world. In fact, people in many countries are astounded at what many of our wealthy do. Take Gates, for example. The super-wealthy in other parts of the world would be sure to keep the wealth in the family. Rockefeller himself donated a huge portion of his income - throughout his ENTIRE life - to charities.
The Left-wingers will always look at this with their pathology of hatred for the successful and say there were underlying motivations of greed there someplace, but that is because of the malevolent ideology of theirs. Heck, I provide information that Walmart actually donated $2 BILLION to charities, and not a single Left-winger would recognize anything decent or good about that. This PROVES their hatred of success and the free market.

Almost correct. North Korea is at war with South Korea, and America is right there to defend freedom.
"But the problem (for the USA) is that North Korea has nuclear weapons - an excellent deterrent."
The worry is more about the Chinese. We could probably do surgical strikes and blast away the nukes of this ignorant regmine, but how would China respond? MacArthur might have been right back in 1952: Nuke 'em.

So long as no peace treaty has been signed between the USA and North Korea, the USA is still officially at war with North Korea. South Korea is a vassal state indentured to and dependent on the USA. It serves as a buffer between the USA and North Korea.
So-called "surgical" strikes (something the USA boasts about but performs very poorly indeed) on North Korea's nuclear sites would contaminate South Korea and even Japan and other countries with nuclear fallout, thus make millions of "collateral" victims. That would be an extremely stupid thing to do.
