There are so many wonderful songs in the world! Warren wrote that towards the end of his life...where true inspiration originates! Well, since one does look back with reflection on what's important.

Here's another one I would not mind teaching a young person the words to...}8^)

Warren Zevon - "Don't let us get sick,
      Don't let us get old,
Don't let us get stupid, alright?
Just make us be brave, and let us be bold,
And let us be together tonight."

      And that's only one stanza!

I luv that one too. Infact, I really like Warren Zevon and all his works,
altogether. Wish I had a CD collection of his. x2

It's so easy to relate to: Warren Zevon was quite a genius with much of his work. He wrote
this song after being diagnosed with methasolimia.

      The first stanza goes -

" Don't let us get sick, don't let us get old,
Don't let us get stupid, alright?
Just let us be brave, and let us be bold,
And let us be together tonight."

[ I have come to believe that the primary purpose of politics is to create division among people who have 95% of all things in common. The things we have in common are real things, the need for food, water, shelter and love. The things over which we fight are thoughts, beliefs, superstitions and grudges. One one hand, there are the issues that would exist with or without our presence and on the other, things that only exist in our minds. The insanity is that this picture is not intuitively obvious to the casual observer.

Meanwhile, I have reached the point in my life where I have little tolerance for willful ignorance and none at all for intellectual dishonesty. I am not quite to the "get off my lawn" stage but I suppose it is coming. Meanwhile, I love fishing, especially for flounder and I appreciate an occasional dark beer.]

I treat everyone as a friend unless they are rude and hateful to others. I'm not religious but I do believe we should be tolerant of those who do believe, with one exception. Fundamentalists who ascribe to hate do not deserve the right to practice their religion, but instead should be treated as a hate group and denied their citizenship. I believe that the AKC should be stopped from allowing any more dog breeding propaganda until all the animals in the thousands of shelters and rescue centers have been adopted. I feel the same about all the "throw away cats." There are numerous pure-breed dogs and cats in shelters that need homes. I also believe our government is in serious need of an attitude adjustments. The Joint Chiefs and CIA have been misleading presidents into ugly and unnecessary wars for decades. We don't need to keep dropping bombs on hospitals and schools to "help" people who are already oppressed by tyrannical leaders. Find another way to help them ]

    • Most Useful Word "SHIT", Remember this,
You can be shit faced...Shit out of luck,or have shit for brains.
With a little effort, you can get your shit together,
Find a place for your shit, or decide to shit or get off the pot.
You can smoke shit, buy shit, sell shit, lose shit, find shit,
forget shit & tell others eat shit.
Some people know they are shit, while others can`t tell the difference,
between shit or shinola...There are lucky shits, dumb shits,
Crazy shits, and sweet shits...there is bullshit, horse shit, chicken shit.
You can throw shit, sling shit, catch shit,or duck when the shit hits the fan,
You can give a shit,or serve shit on a shingle,
You can find yourself in deep shit,or be happier than a pig in shit.
Some days are colder than shit, some hotter than shit,
And some days are plain shitty. Things can look like shit,
And there are times when you feel like shit.
You can carry shit...have a mountain of shit,
Or find yourself up shit creek without a paddle,
you can have too much shit, not enough shit, the right shit,
the wrong or weird shit, sometimes everything you touch,
turns to shit, other times your a lucky shit.
And remember...once you know your shit,
you don`t need to know anything else,
but SHIT HAPPENS.................................Thank you George Carlin
