TV Station Hacker Warns of Zombies in Montana

A Montana television station's regular programming was interrupted by news of a zombie apocalypse.
The Montana Television Network says hackers broke into the Emergency Alert System of Great Falls affiliate KRTV and its CW station Monday.
KRTV says on its website the hackers broadcast that "dead bodies are rising from their graves" in several Montana counties.
The alert claimed the bodies were "attacking the living" and warned people not to "approach or apprehend these bodies as they are extremely dangerous."
The network says there is no emergency and its engineers are investigating.
A call to KRTV was referred to a Montana Television Network executive in Bozeman. Jon Saunders didn't immediately return a call for comment.
The Great Falls Tribune reports the hoax alert generated at least four calls to police to see if it was true.

To be fair to viewers of the station who may have been panicked, I watch that station sometimes and several members of the news team do sorta look un-dead-ish. My husband refers to it as "the Undertaker News", the "Amish News", or the 'Vampire News" Lots of basic black (gothettes?) clothing. Actually, I have never seen the broadcast when the anchors weren't all in black. And one anchor is so stiff only his lips move when he talks. It really looks like one of those silly videos made from a still photo where they just move the mouth to go along with the audio.Really, I could see how viewers of this station's local news broadcasts might believe in Zombies and thing the Zom 'poc might just be a real threat.
Of course, a lot of people around here are convinced the small catalog numbers on the backs of highway information signs are coded navigation instructions for the UN forces that will invade any ol time now. I kid you not.
Personally, I think the hacker knew the audience and it was a brilliant social commentary. Guess you had to be here. = )

I care. Classic slow zombies are a target shooters wet dream. Sure they can kill you, but they are easy to outrun and easier still to shoot in large groups.
Fast zombies are a death sentence. It is hard to outrun them, and zombies don't get tired, so they can out distance you on foot. And don't get me started if it is a group of fast zombies...
