According to the arrest report, Evylon Hrusovsky, 54, left her 5-year-old son in her sport utility vehicle in the parking lot of a local arcade while she went inside and played video games.
Hrusovsky entered the arcade at about 11:45 p.m. Feb. 26. At 12:50 a.m., a passer-by noticed the young child screaming and crying in the front seat of the SUV, and alerted the manager of the arcade, the report states."
Erp. I guess I got the answer to "is gaming addiction real", eh?

That's nothing compared to Korea. A couple left their very young child (6 months?) at home while they played games at an internet cafe for hours. The child died. I can't remember the details.
