What would you ask Ray Muzyka of BioWare about Dragon Age?

Dragon Age marks a return to the classic Baldur's Gate style of computer RPG that made BioWare such a popular developer in the '90s. Later this week, we'll be checking the game out with some extensive hands-on time, and we'll also have a chance to interview Dr. Ray Muzyka, the co-founder of BioWare and the head of the new BioWare/Mythic hybrid studio that EA announced today.

We want to give the Current Gaming community a voice in this interview, so we're asking for your input. Post your questions for Muzyka in a reply below. We'll mostly be covering Dragon Age for this particular interview, so try to stick to that topic. We'll be posting the interview with responses to your questions soon!

    • I've never played an RPG before, but am definitely interested. Do you think Dragon Age would be a good intro RPG for a noob like myself?

    • 1) Is this going to be a linear style story like BGII or temple of elemental evil or a more branched and open ended story like the more successful original baldur's gate and fallout 3?

      2) Is there going to be any player generated content options?

There were never much of a choice on what to do wit those way points though. Perhaps I am getting my games mixed up. it was a long time ago. BGII was winter themed yes?
Perhaps the fallout series in general is a better example of open plotting.

That was Icewind Dale. Yeah that game was super linear and did not have much story. Same company though. Now I understand what you mean. Hopefully Dragon Age is more Baldurs Gate than Icewind Dale.

    • A critical aspect of what makes many people fans of Bioware as a company, and provides people great faith in your games, it that rather than shaping naratives you seem to shape worlds. That seems to be the case with Dragon age as well. What makes the world we inhabit in dragon age different from the average fantasy world and what special touches have you added to flesh out the world?

    • How heavily do the origin stories effect the overall game as a whole? Will different origins beget different villains, etc?

    • From what we have seen so far, fights seem to involve a high number of enemies and player characters. How will combat and targeting be handled in Dragon Age: Origins?
