GamesSaveLives
Games Save Lives will be hosting a charity video gaming marathon from 7 PM, August 12, 2011 (EST) to 7 PM, August 14th, 2011 (EST) for a total length of 48 hours. These marathons have grown in popularity in recent years and often raise thousands of dollars for important causes. This particular marathon will be raising money to provide relief for those affected by the recent tsunami and earthquake in Japan. All donations will be sent instantly to Direct Relief International, a highly rated nonprofit organization based in Santa Barbara, California that works to improve the general quality of life by bringing important medicines and supplies to local healthcare providers worldwide. 100% of donation funds received will be used exclusively for programmatic activities related to Japan, and none of the funds will be used to pay for fundraising or administrative expenses.

In the marathon, the members of Games Save Lives will be hosting a live, online stream of themselves playing video games for 48 hours. We will be playing some of the most popular games of the last few years.

Please donate or spread the word about this fundraiser through social networking sites and news sources. With your help, we can provide aid to a country in need.
