Modern Warfare 3 will now update the game at anytime. The developer will be able to update the game with map packs and other DLC much easier than they could with Modern Warfare 2, and will also be able to balance issues without the need of a patch.
Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling told Gamer247 in a recent interview:
“So now as we’re advancing content and releasing new maps on multiplayer, we can also further tweak them to also be playable in Spec Ops, and then look at how we can update the game further in other ways like new modes, weapons – whatever we wanna do.”
