To be real and authentic or not to be...

chapinyoung
Emile Hirsch has had a series of roles playing real people - he's played:
1. Jay Adams in "Lords of Dogtown,"
2. Johnny Truelove (aka "Jesse James Hollywood") in "Alpha Dog,"
and now
3. Christopher McCandless in "Into the Wild."

Here he talks about the process of embodying these characters and how he makes the choice to become that person he's playing or to go a different route altogether.

Emile can currently be seen in Sean Penn's "Into the Wild."

P.S. Emile also played young Harry Houdini in the TV movie "Houdini" when he was 13. But I don't think that really counts, do you?
