Lizzy, Puh-Leeze Don't Shave Your Head...

chapinyoung
Okay, so a couple of days ago we asked Lizzy Caplan how she'd feel if all of the sudden everyone recognizes her and the paparazzi start stalking her after "Cloverfield" comes out. The above video contains her answer.

Now...here's what I have to say about her answer:
a) Yeah, yeah, yeah. She does sound humble in the way a publicist would teach her to sound humble, but at the same time I totally believe that she isn't really interested in her life being like that.

b) There's NO way only 2 people have ever recognized her. She starred in "The Class" and "Related" and had really memorable parts in "Mean Girls" (Janice) and "Freaks & Geeks" (the disco girl). So, if this is true, she's either great at making herself unnoticeable or making other people feel like it wouldn't be cool of them to accost her with "you're that girl from (insert something from above here)!"

c) I predict she'll be in the top 10 on IMDB by Monday...but I hope she doesn't get stalked by the press.

What do you think?

    • its pretty fucked up that people cant see what the movie "Cloverfield" can mean.. maybe that people are becoming very strange when they try to run away from things like their intersubjective existence. My happiness shall never mean more than your idea of that and we all have to go through it together, so dont run away from monsters that actually mean your own face in the mirror.

    • If you shave your head, it won't be because they're remaking the first "Star Trek" film, will it? Gosh. I sure hope not. I still have nightmares.

    • My prediction (see c above) came true! Monday morning Lizzy was listed at #8 on the IMDB Starmeter. Last week she was at #209.

Hopefully no one is stalking her. Hopefully her hair is still on her head. And hopefully she's not scared to leave the house.

(As far as I can tell they only update 1x a week. And if you don't know what the Starmeter is - it's just the ranking of who is the most searched for and clicked on person on IMDB.)

    • Cloverfield was awesome!
But here's the thing...I don't even recognize her in this Current video compared to who she was in the movie. Marlena, maybe?
There's no way I'd recognize her on the street...

    • no one needs more info about that overly hyped movie, its gonna suck, the whole movie is based upon the image of the statue of liberty's head in the street, an image the creaor stole from a movie in the 60's (words from his own mouth) its all hype and its sad how easily people buy into it.
